I just deal with the ads. I run my own boards and post on about 10 other boards so I just browse here and post and go to the next, the ads arent that bad, most of the other forums dont have them, I agree that the noise ones can drive you nuts, but what can you do, its up to the admin.

I think BURST! may have killed the offending ads. I just saw the "swta the fly" banner, but it wasn't making any noise. :)

I don't see ANY of them anymore ;)
Coming from someone who has openly said he has set his browser to block all ads. I'd keep my mouth shut.
I still load every ad, I like the site, and I support it.
Matter of fact, you have another $12 Jeff.. :) *** Edited 2/26/2005 12:35:36 PM UTC by Red Garter Rob***

Use it to buy a beer at the Garter on opening day. ;)

Actually I may go to GL that day, and save CP for a weekday.

Is there anyhting different at CP opening day or is it just the nostagalia of going opening day? If there isn't I'll probably be going to GL also.
I think so. It's kind of like opening day for Major League Baseball. On paper, it's just another game - one of 162. But there's something special about Opening Day. I think the same can be said for Cedar Point.
I suggest GL. Tell everyone you know. ;)

Do em both. Enjoy the Ohio Cedar Fair goodness. That's my plan. Yeah, I won't get on everything on each park, but who cares? Soak up the opening day atmosphere.
Reading through this I did not see any mention of donations, can Point Buzz take donations through pay pal or a similar service...

Nope... just via credit card for the premium membership.

I repeat once more: What about people without credit cards? I would join if I had a way to.

You're SOL. The site provides a means to sign up, if you can't do that, ask someone who has a credit card to sign you up.

I find it strange for someone to NOT have a credit card in today's world. I understand if you are not old enough, but hey, that's what the 'rents are for. Show them what you want to buy, have the cash in hand for them and purchase away. If (for whatever reason) mom and dad won't help out, talk to an aunt or uncle or older brother or sister. There has got to be someone who would help you out.
Hell, send me the cash and I'd buy the membership for you.

...or get one of those prepaid visa (or whatever kind of) credit cards...you don't need a credit rating or to be a certain age to get one, and it works like a gift card.
...also, my bank gives a debit atm card that has the same effect as a credit card ('cept it's not credit, it comes from your account.)
...or just listen to MrScott...
I don't even buy the not old enough business. They've got teen credit cards nowadays as well. I had one when I was like 15 or 16.
