Jeff- Kill this ad YESTERDAY!

Tiny little banner at the bottom of the screen. Sign says, "Kiss the frog, get a FREE IPOD." Frog sits on a lily pad

Croaking noise is not only beyond annoying, it sounds like a HDD going south.

Get rid of that one before I'm forced to do something I really don't want to do...!

Banner ads are OK. Banner ads that make annoying noises are over the top. Especially annoying noises that WON'T QUIT!

The site is turning into banner city but that pays for the site.

Yeah, and most of the banners are completely content-free anyway, and besides we've seen them all a million times. But that's okay. The banners sit there and advertise whatever it is they are supposed to be advertising.

The frog banner, though, pops on and makes a sound like the computer is dying...that isn't effective, it's annoying, and it's rude, and as a webmaster, Jeff shouldn't stand for it.

(Even now I'm working on a way to selectively ban certain files from certain sites from being downloaded by my browser, since simply banning Burstnet entirely will probably break the site...and I would rather just 86 the badly behaving ads instead of all of them anyway. The site is entitled to try and earn a living.)

I downloaded something called Fastpeak Slim Browser and when I go onto this site I haev No adds at all on the screen.

Fastpeak Slim Browser stops pop ups and Spam its kinda a cool system

Iam sorry its Called "Flashpeak Slim Browser" not as i stated before as "Fastpeak Slim Browser"

Isn't there an ad free premium version for this site? Do the popup ads still come up even with that? A buck a month for ad-free is worth it.

As long as I have expenses, there will be ads unless you pay the premium. I don't think you can really appreciate just how crappy ad revenue is right now. I'll take what I can get. The alternative is to have no site.

The ad for Classmates.com is RELENTLESS. Please take my 12 bucks and make it go away! ;)

Banners are fine if they don't make noise, but this one is ridiculously evil. It's loud, annoying, and frequent. Please kill it soon.

Trust Me. I would be GLAD to pay the 12 bucks. Problem is, NO CREDIT CARD.

Then, I'm not clicking on ads - They are not relavant to my age. I mean, 15 year olds cant apply for credit cards to get free Ipods.

No fear, at least we now have a variety of sound-making ADs. The machine gun, flies, cameras, etc. Spice of life...

Yeah, I just love the fly one! It's just so catchy and not annoying and invasive at all...

I'd love to know who designed the ADs. They certainly draw my attention, but only because they are so damn annoying. Good for pointbuzz, bad for the adverstiser.

that frog ad is a pain in the butt. Why not just remove the ones with sound?

I can't take them anymore. Blocked. Sigh, I'll unblock the ADs when those sound ones are rotated out.
