If you need shoes localy, try Arthur's Shoe Tree on Cleveland Road.
I bought shose from wardrobe and my feet hated me. Sure I spent $100 on New Blance 928 walking shoes, but they were the best thing I bought all summer!
This year, I got ather pair of NB's and don't expect any problems!

Hello i was thinking off going back to CP but only wanting to live in the Gold dorms since i do not have a car but as i remember there not open for the full summer does anyone remember when the gold dorms open up?
Thanks.
cedars is nasty... do yourself a favor... and get into commons DORMS. they are so much nicer than anything else there. I've lived in commons apartments, commons dorms, and bayside. And I would not ever want to go back to anything but the dorms, in fact 1500 building is the ****. Just pray that you have either an all hetero or all homo room. Seriously, waking up and rolling over to see a wall of penis is enough to make you vomit. Oh and if you suspect that someone in your room has drugs.. do what we did and get the cp police there as fast as you can. if you turn them in... you don't get kicked out if they raid the room and find drugs. *** Edited 4/24/2006 3:26:51 AM UTC by liebevision***

So the dorms are the best? If i'm straigt then why would I want to live in an all gay dorm? Are drugs that much of a problem at Cedar Point? Becasue I don't want to get busted if someone has drugs in my room.
Yes-Dorms at the best. But that is just a personal opinion.
All gay dorm? Only if it just so happens that all the roommates are gay. When you sign up for a room, you don’t ask for the all straight/gay room.
Drugs a problem? Just as much a problem that they are everywhere else. Just report them as soon as you see them and you wont get into trouble. Simple huh?
In all the years that I lived in Cedar Point housing, I never had a gay roommate. Not that it would be a problem. I am sure though that someone on here will have a story of how they had 43 gay roomates every year they worked there! Sometimes people exaggerate about the amount of homosexuals at Cedar Point. I am not saying there are only a few, but nothing in the thousands like some people seem to think. *rolls eyes*

The only real problem I have is where I want to live at and if it's worth the trouble taking the Cedar Point shuttle to and back from work everyday. Are the dorms still available say around June 5?
There is always a bed open somewhere in the dorms, even if Cedar Point says there is not. Just live somewhere else for a week or two, meet some people you work with and you will find out about a bed in one of the dorms. Then just move into there.
I've heard bad things about the apartments. Like that they're nasty and horrible. Bathrooms aren't kept up, stuff like that.
I'd say about 1 in 4 to one in 6 guy who work at cp are gay... or at least bi. I had 7 different roomates while living in my dorm and only 2 were gay. Neither of who I had a problem with. They were respectfull of me and I was respectfull of them. Untill we found drugs from the one.. then he was no longer an employee after that day. It was only when i moved into bayside that I had a problem with gay roomates, because of the lack of respect. Unfortunatley it was assigned rooming and I didn't have a choice. It was a non smoking apartment too, but everyone smoked in it. Oh, and yeah, Me and one other guy were the only straight guys in the whole apartment. And when I moved out, ALOT of my stuff came up missing.
edit:
So yeah, as long as you have respect for eachother its not really a problem, the whole "you don't put up half naked guys or totally naked, i don't put up half naked girls." routine works well. but if you are living with people of the opposite sexual orientation that are just downright disrespectfull then it is a problem. *** Edited 4/25/2006 8:49:37 PM UTC by liebevision***
