Jugga, no launching backward in my plan either.
Both trains would launch forward, but would run the entire track in opposite directions. Maybe I'll draw something up to show what I mean.
Mark
Ok, I see what you're saying. Interesting idea and it would be interesting to see how such an idea would work especially throughput and capacity wise.
Goodbye MrScott
John
That is a cool idea. The coaster would essentially be four experiences, 1-forward, 1-backward, 2-forward (which would be 1-backward-forward) and 2-backward (1-forward-backward).
I just wish that there were a reliable and easy way to make it into a reality.
Brandon
There's gotta be a way that you can have two trains coming at eachother and not have them hit but stay on the same track.
Ink...exactly! Thats what I meant when I said it'll be something thats never been done before.
I really think its possible. It fits and everything.
You might be on to something here.
And DragonFire...its a big disappointment about the BGE thing, isn't it?! haha

Wow, and I thought my idea was a little far-fetched, but it seems like you guys have expanded on it more than I thought anyone would.
I think the launching backwards would be painful, but what if it were similiar to WT, launch forward out of the station, then return and get re-launched at a higher speed?
Dont start with me Bodes

Muggsy - If this track is as long as it seems it will be, that kind of setup (multiple launches through the station) would kill the ride. It would take so long to get through the line and it wouldn't really be worth it.
I kinda like MrInk's idea, although I still put its likelihood value really low, but it is an interesting idea.
Goodbye MrScott
John
Jugga - I am just expanding on MrInks idea. Have the 2 launch stations, but one launches like WT to get greater speed going backwards w/o snapping your neck.
You ever get the notion that maybe this coaster will be longer than what we think it will be?
"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"
So more of a shuttle coaster idea? Get towed up a hill out the front of the station, and then dropped back through with added LIM acceleration? That could be an interesting concept.
Goodbye MrScott
John
I think this coaster will give us a huge surprise in what it does.(launch/lift, course direction) If anyone has seen Arlington Road (movie), it's going to be a total opposite prediction of what we think it's going to be. Sorry if that's confusing lol.
Favorite Coasters 1.MF 2. TTD 3. Raptor 4. Gemini 5. Magnum
Maverick perhaps? I wanna RIDE ON.
