I don't have a lot of time to read this whole thing, so please forgive me if I've repeated someone. My theory is: the supports are the same on both sides of the hill; but no supports on the crest of the hill. This makes me think low speed at this point. Look at TTD, KD, and other such launches. They start off with a band, but hit their peek at a pretty slow creep. The fancy little "M" shape the supports create are probably an added bonus to the design. Thank you and have a good night.
