Anyone know what all the white pipes are?
Thrills Around the Corner!
Now it wont look like your going to hit the water. I was at the park Wednesday (16) and whatching it test Im sorry to say but it looks really boring. It is incredibally (sp) slow; even out of the launch tunnel. You guys will probably like it but it wont be one of my favorites. And now without the roll it will be even more boring.

^ I don't really buy that. They install each piece of track one by one, so they should be able to remove them one by one too.
Well you should buy it, because it's true. When the ride is assembled, it has to be done in a particular order. The supports typically sit at one end or the other of a section, so no significant piece sits unsupported when they go home at night.

Yeah I know that. But, from the pictures of the track after it was removed, that makes no sense. They chopped the track like a foot from the end. So, had they just unbolted the track or cut it where they did, the track would've been supported by that support anyways. Plus, they were taking it OUT, not leaving it sit overnight. Being unsupported wouldn't have done anything either way.
What John said about the end of each piece of track having a male and female connection makes more sense to me. If they had unbolted that one section of track, they wouldn't have been able to just lift it straight up unless the male/female connection was gone. So, to eliminate that first joint, they just chopped the track off right near the end of the piece. Regardless, the adjoining piece of track has a support right at the end, and the piece they took out also had a support mere feet away. *** Edited 5/18/2007 12:47:14 AM UTC by halltd***
Correct me if i'm wrong, but the only non-male/female piece would be the transfer track and the ends of the pieces that butt up to it.

^^ Yes. The cameras are there for the onride photo, so I guess they'll have to be adjusted or moved.
While I was there today watching the supports being cut off of the footers, I had a feeling this was what would happen.
Disappointing to say the least, but it's still going to be a great ride. Watching it run yesterday was just incredible.
