Beat ya by a couple seconds.:)

Wow, I thought they would maybe just extend it a little bit more, make the transition a little less quickly. But instead they are completely removing it. Wow

Yep i told everyone this 5 days ago cause i talked to a manager but no nobody wanted to listen my

topic was removed

Did anyone else notice they CUT the track? They didn't just unbolt the last piece and remove the whole thing. They sliced right through the track and left the support behind it.

I wonder if that piece is going to come out too?

^^^^^ - and someone beat you by a few minutes ;)

They are replacing it with an equal roll that goes over top instead of underneath. From the banking in the track, you come in laying on your right side and will leave laying on your left, same as in the heartline.

Goodbye MrScott

John

I wonder how that will change the dynamics of the transition.

My author website: mgrantroberts.com.

Do you think they'll do anything to the animations or news release?

^Other than change the stats on the website, no. After the ride opens, no one watches the animations. Do you watch TTD's animation still?

I do. But, just to laugh at it because it's so outdated compared to the ones we get now. :)

I was really looking forward to that element. :(

Oh well, at least the rest of the ride looks pretty decent. The new "trick track" kinda sounds like it will hurt with over the shoulder restraints. Only time will tell.

They probably had to cut it and then unbolt it because the track is already in a complete circuit and I am guessing that it would not be good for the supports and nearby track if they just torqued it backwards a little and lifted the track out.

Four discount funday tickets to Cedar Point: $130.96
Overnight stay at Breakers Express: $70
Riding rides the size of skyscrapers while "legally" breaking the local speed limit: Priceless

^That seems what it may be like but with less of the elevation of that one.

The cut piece will be removed. It was cut and left there to support the piece of track that's just behind it that doesn't have a support near that end.

If they remove that piece off that support it would leave the end of the previous track piece dangling in the air.

eat. sleep. ride! - Coaster apparel and accessories!

Ride on, MrScott!

So they will have to change all of the merchandise with the Maverick Stats on it. Maybe it will be marked down!

4 summers of employment in ride operations does stuff to you.

Off-Topic:
Storm Runners track in photos has always seemed unnatural to me, anyone else ever think that?

^ I don't really buy that. They install each piece of track one by one, so they should be able to remove them one by one too.

They're going to have to "squeeze in" the new sections in too without cutting anything.

EDIT: I bet they cut it to make the piece easier to get out of the canyon without hitting something. *** Edited 5/17/2007 9:26:02 PM UTC by halltd***
