I really can't wait for this weekend! This past weekend I got to be one of the four "preview" screamsters who were out scaring guests in the MF and TTD queues and posing for pictures and getting some more scares at the front gate at the end of the day. Doing that really got the juices flowing. Just a few more short days!

Too often, employees say they are never coming back, and do. Again and again.
Here I am, back as a screamster.. In Frightzone, again. We had orientation earlier, and I recognised a lot of faces.. More than I thought I remembered! Anyways, just checking in.

Really foggy most nights.. really crowded most nights.
"Tattoo Man" from CarnEvil came over for about an hour on the last night and was like "This is nuts.. is it always this crowded??"
"Nope.. it's actually pretty slow right now."
So having worked the whole season without knowing who you were... who are you? hehe

I was the evil little jester over in CarnEvil...hehehehe. Krafty, about the availability, they prefer you to be available most of the weekends, best I can suggest for you is to wait until August to apply (you apply online). They are usually very accomodating when it comes to scheduling requests. Next year we will be scaring for 7 weekends!!! BOO!
Count me in as another one who never met you ltrain. I'm excited about having another weekend next year, I'll definitely be there. Fright Zone by far remained the most popular of the three zones this year. None of the other zones have managed to match our natural atmosphere, although Fear Faire may have an advantage on the fog since they're a bit more enclosed. It was a pretty awesome year though, I'm already looking forward to next year (and looking for something to do on weekends now. :)).

I loved being a screamster! I definitely would love to do it again next year. All the years that i've been working for Cedar Fair, this was my first chance of ever being a screamster. There's a lot of pain and physical abuse involved but it's worth it (most of the time). You just make your next scare a really good knock down..hehe

Some guests tend to be less than kind toward us. Getting punched, kicked, pushed, etc. is pretty much a part of the job. Luckily, most of those guests usually get dealt with by CPPD, and the good parts of the job are enough to make those things seem insignificant. Plus, no matter how fit you are, you're gonna be pretty sore after your first few nights (if not after every night). I didn't think I could move after my first weekend this year, but by the second weekend my body had already adjusted to it.
I think most Screamsters will tell you it's the best (or at least the most fun) job they've ever worked.
