Halloweekends 2011

I think 39.99 was just for the regular year. I can't remember off-had what they were halloweekends last year.

They currently list the Starlight admission as $29.99 and state very specifically that it is only good up until Sunday, September 11th. Perhaps they will have a more expensive Starlight admission for HalloWeekends, which would make sense in a way.

^ Agreed. This might sound like an odd question but I really like the creepy folk / twang music playing outside Blood on the Bayou, is their anyplace I can listen to the music / soundtrack?

No. No soundtrack that I know of.

11 years.

The music playing by the shack yesterday sounded a lot like music that has played at CornStalkers.

While the official HalloWeekends site isn't up just yet, the 2011 Fright Guide can be found here:

And the Halloweekends site is now live!

Terror Island will still be around (yay!) and The Asylum has been re-named the Eternity Infirmary. There is even a special Halloweekends Blog (by Becca). The whole site has been redesigned, and its actually very user friendly. Check it out!

EDIT: There is also a new "Zombie Tours" option. Similar to the normal VIP Experience in the park, and for an additional $75/person, groups of up to 12 get front-of-the-line access to all the indoor haunted houses (Eerie Estates, Happy Jack's Toy Factory, Club Blood, and Eternity Infirmary) as well as two outdoor walk-throughs (Blood on the Bayou and Cornstalkers). For the price, you also get advanced seating at two shows. Interesting.

Did anyone notice the Hours on halloweekends.com are wrong? at least I cant see them going to what it shows they are. It shows The park is opend 12-9 on Saturday and 12-12 Sunday. This is backward to what the main Cedar Point site says.

Are the shows listed anywhere? I know the "family-friendly" site has most of them but there doesn't seem to be any mention on this new site.

We are down to the last ten days. Guest of Cedar Point are you ready to scream?

@Kevin: I just checked, the hours are correct.

@Tim: My guess is that they want to keep the "scary" attractions seperate from the "family" attractions. Its a pain for those who want information on both, but I'm guess that's the way its going to stay, with the shows and the haunts on seperate sites.

The Halloweekends Site is finally up!!!

It is looking very nice

The only thing I miss with the new site is the creepy music..

First rollback on Dragster July 23 2003 since then 15

I had a feeling that might be their thinking, although I thought The Edge of Madness was considered an "adult"/"scary" show.

Perhaps it was mentioned before, but it looks like Fright Zone will be replaced with Maniacal Mechanical Screamworks. I saw a display on the Frontier Trail when I was at the park last week and wondered what it was about. I'm interested to see what that will be like. The Halloweekends site doesn't offer much info about their attractions.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

I'm pretty sure the Fright Zone skull will be returning in a gold-plated/brass color scheme for Maniacal Mechanical Screamworks. Not sure how I feel about the painted version, though. It didn't look that great in the light of day.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

I never thought the old skull looked all that great in daylight.
