It will probably just be more parking, either for Breakers guests or for employees.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
If that area was larger, it would be cool to see an entertainment district built similar to Downtown Disney and City Walk.
Just a shot in the dark here. They're building the off site to accommodate the gold residents so they have onsite room for a new dorm for the cedars residents.

So you think they will build a new dorm where Golds is that will house the Cedars residents after that is torn down?

I think all housing should be off point. Demolishing Cedars and Gold frees up some space that could be very useful. Even if it's just to add more parking.
More parking? When the parking lots are full at their current size, it's already too crowded.
Now using the space for a dark ride would be wonderful. Perhaps they could call it the Bedbug Ride.
There is no way that space will be used for a ride. It is outside of the gates and the maintenance buildings are in the way. I'm thinking it will be used for hotel parking or to expand maintenance.
I was thinking possibly employee parking, parking this year was slightly messy for employees now that Gatekeeper was built, wiped out I'd say about 2/3 of their lot. Then the VIP parking knocked it all out lol

I am pretty sure with Cedar Point's capabilities, they can move buildings and gates without a problem.... GateKeeper is an excellent example.
Cedar Point, Americas rip- rockin', high flyin', sky defyin', record breakin' roller coast
Back in that space, there is Linen Services, Wardrobe and Maintenance, that's quite alot to move, not just the buildings but what's inside as well. If they do all that and move 1 building a year, I couldn't see a ride going in there until 2017 at the earliest.
I honestly think it'll stay for employees for awhile. I bet anything it's going to be parking/storage/staging for the park

Because the general public does not care about an old building being torn down. It's just a building.
Exactly, you can't market demolition and construction of employee housing.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,

The footprint of those buildings is far too small to be used for anything but parking or an addition to maintenance or wardrobe
Girl: "l want to ride that yellow one again... Twisted Wicker"
Me: "It's a roller coaster, not a broken clothes hamper."
One idea for that area is a parking garage. I know what your thinking,no way right?!
Well your probably right, but I'm not talking a 4+ Levels. Only 2 levels.
That way it wouldn't block much views and be somewhat hidden from the park.
And employees can park on the lower level while the upper level can be for breaker guests.
Breakers could use it for valet parking.
I'm sure many guests would use valet and that's more income.
This is just me thinking out loud. Lol
