Website still shows 48”. If it has indeed changed to 42” my son and I will be very happy.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
The Bat height requirement was changed to 42" this season as well, my guess is that the CP website simply hasn't been updated yet.
So now we're lowering the height requirement to...how did they put it..."maintain consistency amongst the chain".

According to Tony Clark during The Shore Line today they are still expecting TT2 to be open this weekend. They have been training ops crews on it as well. Zamperla and CP released the ride for State Inspection several weeks ago so things are looking good for the return of TT2.
Either way, I'm lucky enough to be there this weekend after a long winter so regardless of what is open, closed or broken down it is going to be a fun weekend.
Cedar Point website now updated and says Iron Dragon 42" height requirement.

JUnderhill:
All of the cabins are now installed on the Giant Wheel, I checked the webcams last night while I was at work and it didn't appear any had been installed yet although they were staged around the base of the wheel. Must have done it all this morning, quick work -
In an amazing display of speed and agility they were able to install all of the cabins at a quicker speed than it takes them to actually load guests into them for a ride-cycle during operation.

I didn't know Cedar Point had a The Bat ride.

Well Mr Smart you do realize that the same manufacturer built both The Bat and Iron Dragon correct? Are you following so far? Also, the same company owns the parks that both rides reside in correct? Furthermore both rides are of the same type, I know this is complicated but are you still following me here? So, a ride built by the same manufacturer and of the same type owned by the same company had a height reduction this season. Based upon that wouldn’t you agree it was a safe assumption that Iron Dragon would end up with the same height requirement as The Bat?
^I think this was Coasterhawk's attempt at humor, snarky though it was. Now back to our regularly scheduled monitoring of Sky Ride.

Speaking of SkyRide, as I clicked on the webcam I notice a nifty structure with a blue slanted roof to the left of the SkyRide station, about where Scrambler formerly was located. If the rain breaks a tad tomorrow and if SkyRide is operating I'll take a look.
While you’re snooping around the park, take a look at the new porcelain as well. It Might be a welcome respite from the rain. ;)
Sit tight fellas ;) Applebee's fills my belly daily.
Enjoy! Have fun for all those attending today. I’ll be there in spirit. Unfortunately for me the first log laid of the CP season will be in a port-o-potty at a soccer field, instead of the newly designed bathrooms near sirens curse.

Well, it sure looks like a windy, soggy mess out there, but happy Opening Day! Enjoy yourself if you go. May good... no wait, that's probably a bit of an ask for this early on... may adequate operations be upon ye.
