I saw a post on a CP FB group that Chickie's & Pete's is no more; if that is accurate, there is (at present) not a single table service restaurant in the park itself.

This is confirmed here. Contract expiration.

So there are now at least three empty restaurant spaces (that, the marina spot, and the Melt site) as far as I know.

The TGI Fridays at Breakers will remain open. (anyone want to cheer sarcastically?)

It feels strange, given that a lot of the past few years had restaurants added on (Grand Pavilion, BackBeatQue, The Farmhouse). Then again, given the merger, it isn't just rides getting axed.

Anyone who misses the fries should just take a can of old bay into Culver’s and sprinkle it on those fries. There ya go.

Not to mention: Mac Shack/Pinks, Wild Turnip, Roundup, Wagon wheel pizza, & Forbidden frontier provisions. The ones that are gone completely like Dive in and Roost, and several like Dragons inn and the Walking taco stand that are only serving drinks now.

Long gone is this trusted eatery.

Do they even have a picnic pavilion anymore?

Looking at the webcams, the cabins for Giant Wheel still aren't on....seems really late compared to previous years that we haven't seen them up at this point.

12 days 'til Christmas and the buckets still aren't on the big wheel. I hope Coasterhawk is okay in these trying times.

There have been picnic tables spread around the area around GateKeeper's dive loop for a while but I can't remember if they were still there last season.

They still have the picnic pavilion area at the front of the park in the area behind Hugos adjacent to the exit for Raptor.

Ah yes, never venture over there so I’ve forgotten. Looks like a fun company picnic in the Google street view…even Snoopy is in attendance.

I loved the vintage bulb look of the 150th sign and glad they're keeping that going here.

Totally nitpicking, but something about the phrasing of "Making People Happy Since 1870" just seems a bit clunky, and I can't help but feel like a simpler "SINCE 1870" might have worked better.

Presumably they will swap out the phrases now and then.

Something like "America's Rollercoast" feels more timeless, but that might be my generational bias showing.

I also don't like the slogan on the sign. I propose some alternatives:

"Sit Tight, Fellas!"

"Come for the Coasters, Stay for the Fries!"

"We Turn Screams Into Shareholder Value."

"Fastlane SUPER Plus Extreme now Available!"

Webcam shows Sky ride is running today. Why is it running the parks not even open. I’m gonna count the dispatch times now. If it stops I’m going to call the park.

Gatekeeper is testing along with Troika and Tiki Twirl.

All of the cabins are now installed on the Giant Wheel, I checked the webcams last night while I was at work and it didn't appear any had been installed yet although they were staged around the base of the wheel. Must have done it all this morning, quick work - were less than a week away now. I know I'm ready to get back, winter is finally fading away!
