Gatekeeper construction time lapse

Move 12-E to somewhere on the front gate.

This isn't a time lapse, but I managed to get them tearing down one of the outer track pieces on video.

Awesome!

I wonder if the siding that says 12-E will be saved or just trashed like the rest.

Unless they want to use it for some sort of Halloweekends attraction, I'd guess it'd just be trashed.

Or put above the gate for its gorgeous artistic quality, as suggested above ^

I'm a little behind on getting photos uploaded. I'm out of town this week on business. Plan to work on those tonight.

THanks for the time laspe! It is fun to watch, but still sad to see the DT go, but so jazzed about the new!!!

In davidw's video, 0:40-0:43 and Aaronosmer's video 1:08-1:11, is that a crane doing something on the Giant Wheel? It almost looks like a cabin is being removed.

I wonder why Space Spiral ran on the 20th. It was just one cycle or so. Maybe someone from the park was getting pictures.

^^In #'s 45-50 you can see them lifting something.

Now this morning it seems the last piece is gone and its a clear view of the lake from where DT was.

edit: Seems they just cut the supports and it fell over.

Looks like they dropped the last part like a tree....you can see it laying on it's side in the view. Guess they're testing for when they drop the needle.

Just looked at the camera again and it's totally gone now.

Can't have a new attraction without removing some trees, unless you are Charmland.

Yea, except it might not be on giant wheel. It looks like it was at WT, working on one of the spikes.

Seems like a bit of overkill, but maybe they're moving the live cam? It looks to currently be down.

So when did they say they were going to begin footers for GK? Was it supposed to be early September?

I was there a few days ago, and noticed that they had all the scrap metal piled into neat little stacks, so I wouldn't imagine it would take that long to ship them away.
