Really makes Wicked Twister seem taller too! Won't be much left after this week

Wow! It changed so much in just a few hours since I've last looked at the webcam.

Oh my gosh, it looks like all that's left is the lift hill! Hopefully someone goes today to snap some pictures!

Will they close the Wicked Twister and the Giant Wheel too when they will start taking the 1st hill down?

Thanks so much to all of you for keeping up with these pictures.

Chris

I grabbed some more pictures, I'm sure Walt will have them up soon.

I'll be at the park a week from today so it'll be interesting to not see a giant metal box sitting there. I'm assuming it'll be completely gone by then.

It looks like the last thing standing will be the "12-E" part, assuming they remove the lift hill closest from the ground and work upward.

Last edited by Titandwedebil,

That would be somehow fitting.

And also physics-defying. :)

If you're talking strictly 21st century technology, then yeah.

DT is from the future, it can have hovering parts if it wants to. ;)

No, what I meant was the cube shaped portion of the ride being the last non-support portion of it standing. Maybe they'll just end up keeping that part, I know it's going to be rough for some of you without seeing at least some portion of the gorgeous warehouse still standing in years to come. <3

This isn't a time lapse, but I managed to get them tearing down one of the outer track pieces on video.

^Cool video! They tore that piece of track down really fast.

Give me a weekend and a Bulldozer and I'd have everything done already :D

They definitely could have had it down faster, but remember that most of the steel is being recycled.....it makes more sense to take it down pieces at a time, sort what can be recycled and what can't, and get the that out of the way before starting on another section. Bulldozing would create a huge pile of rubbish to sort through.

It also looks like the lift hill is being cut from the 12-E Tower as we speak.....

Nick

That's exactly what is going on, it appears as though they'll be tearing down the 12E portion last. Here's an image from about 10 minutes ago.

I sent in pictures from yesterday and today, so I'm sure they'll be up sometime soon.

I wonder if the siding that says 12-E will be saved or just trashed like the rest.
