Yes, count me in as one who agrees the guest experience has been fantastic these last few years. I consider myself to have high expectations for every visit and I'm never let down. As much as things change to accommodate the newer generations of park goers, the bottom line is always met. Fun TV is an example of this. The music videos are entertaining, even if one is like myself and isn't necessarily in love with the brand of music they play. I'd even say they could turn the volume up a tad.
Fair enough, and I should have mentioned CP not necessarily CF, because other experiences have definitely improved over the years (KI being a good example).
As for CP, I get the feeling that the guests are treated more like cattle than individuals. I don't get that feeling at other parks.
You must be going to a different CP than I do. I have found nothing but pleasant and courteous service this year, more so than in previous recent seasons. There are lots of signs of improved guest experiences, everything from the lettuce, tomato and pickles they now put on the burgers to improved park aesthetics to the general attitude of the staff which seams happier and more enthusiastic.

Seems better this year. Lots of polite and attentive employees, though it seems "forced" from some - like, when you walk into a gift shop and are immediately hounded with "looking for anything in particular?"
I hate that. When I'm there to browse, I'm there to browse.
When I stayed at Breakers 2 weeks ago, I felt almost like I was at a Disney resort, with how friendly and accommodating the front desk staff was. There's a DEFINITE change.
If they do that, tell them you're looking for a left handed umbrella and all the other stores said they kept the left handed ones there. Maybe they can check in back for one.

I've seen good and bad. Breakers during opening weekend was not very good with customer service. The front staff appeared woefully undertrained and unsupported from management (they had to call multiple people to answer simple questions). Then there was the issue of no hot water one morning, and then no hot water the next morning too. If it were me, I'd be proactively bending over backwards making it right by the guest for such a thing, but that wasn't seen. I wasn't expecting Disney-caliber treatment here, but some sympathy would have been nice. After all, Breaker's isn't Travelodge. This isn't hating either, it's simple fact-stating. These things happened.
It's not all doom and gloom, but isn't talking about "as expected" kinda boring? Perkin's in the lobby was good, the price was not outrageous, the waitress was really nice and there's a small dinosaur outside the restaurant. What's not to like?
I'm not sure I'd use opening weekend as a barometer of quality of service. Most of those folks were new to the job and new on the job.
"...appeared woefully undertrained"? Either they were undertrained, or not.
On opening weekend, I wouldn't be surprised that staff had to ask "simple" (to me) questions. Likely most of them had far less experience at a Cedar Point resort than I would.
Did you let someone know about the hot water issue on either or both days? The resort can't proactively bend over backwards if they don't know there's an issue.

I'm not using it as a barometer, I'm stating facts. And even so, why not? I wasn't paying a "our workers are new, so forgive us" room rates. Having green workers is understandable, not having adequate, experienced management around to support those new people is not.

I can write it again...They appeared woefully undertrained. Maybe the adverb threw you, but that is not an unclear sentence by any measure.

"What time does Perkins open?" is not what I would call a question that would take years of experience to answer.

Of course? Did you honestly think I was suggesting that they should have magically known I had no hot water and should have taken steps to remedy the problem they didn't know anything about?
Perhaps it's your record of factual statements free of sarcasm that confused him.

I'm looking at it from Power Tower queue now. I think it needs more speakers because I can't hear it unless I'm next to it.

Ah the good old drone of four towers of compressed air being dumped or bled and a phallic ride with speakers nextoor :P
Corkscrew, Power Tower, Magnum, & Monster/ Witches Wheel Crew 2011
Has anyone been in the Maverick queue lately? When I was there last Friday, all the TVs were playing the music videos, but no picture. Just wandering If they fixed them.
They weren't on at all yesterday from what I remember.

They were playing sound but not video on Monday.
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!
Probably more like hardware or network issues in the distribution equipment at KI. That's where the content is produced and sent out to all of the parks.
I've got to be honest. I'm not impressed with FunTV so far. I get what they are trying to do and in theory, I don't think it's a bad idea, but to me, it just seems like it has sucked a lot of the life out of the queue experience. I actually enjoy hearing some music. What they have now in between trivia and ads is just obscure stuff that no one has ever heard and the volume/sound quality is not adequate for it to be heard throughout the queue - only when you are near a TV pole. Hopefully the content will only get better with time.

I've found the same thing Matt, I can't really enjoy the content unless I'm close to the TV as the sound doesn't project nearly as much as the DJ booth speakers did. The best queue line experience was when they had the live DJs, that always seemed to make the time go by quicker. Fun TV is a cool idea but they need to make the content more entertaining and step up the audio a notch or two.
