My Idea would be to have more music videos from different types of music so that way they cater to everyone. So that means hearing Elvis, Michael Jackson, BGs, Rascal Flatts, Kelly Clarkson, Katie Perry, and even Justin Timberlake.

So...no music that I want to hear, eh?
Seems like you missed a lot of genres and pretty much stuck with suggestions from the Billboard Top 40 charts of Pop and Country, thereby playing it safe and boring which is what it already is.
And you missed a ton of music that a lot of people would like to hear, but is probably not park appropriate (hence, why there is no jukebox feature thru app/phone requests). BTW you cannot make all the people happy all the time (also why the line DJ is a bad idea as well).
Actually, I'm pretty surprised management even went with the FunTV concept. Its a concept that I think is dated and doesn't really provide any real entertainment or informational value. In this day of constantly connected people thru smartphones the money could've been better used investing more in the park specific apps that really don't do anything either.
New for 2024- Wicked Twister Plus
^^ I was making suggestions/examples. Yes it was kinda the Billboard top 40, but at the same time, take those examples I posted as Ideas.
Nothing wrong with the Billboard Top 40. You would be pleasing a lot of people since the reason a song is Top 40 is because a lot of people like it. This is supposed to be mass entertainment, not something geared to more esoteric songs.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Just play this music video on loop for 12 hours and I'll be ecstatic!!!:

Magic Kingdom just introduced their new version of 'Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It Street Party' which involves guest interaction using social media. Each float has giant LED screens that show pictures that guests have taken and tweeted using #moveitshakeitpics. The show has a Tech who picks pictures off of Twitter and Instagram and then drops them into a template that is then displayed on the floats in real time. Disney does this all of the time for pop-up events too at the parks and guests really love it. Something like this would be very easy to accomplish at Cedar Point with FunTv.
This is something I posted in another thread regarding FunTV. Cedar Point has so many options they could do with this if they would put the thought, effort, and money into it.
Live reporting from around the park with a cameraman and "host" could be done. Play games with the guests, give out prizes, have Tweet Ups broadcast live to all the lines. Guests could request music videos via their phones is a good idea. All the 'On Point' videos that Tony has made over the years for the website should be on a rotation to play every 30 or 60 minutes for guests to see what happens behind the scenes. Something along the lines of a 30 second "PSA" for each of the restaurants should also play throughout the day so guests are aware of whats there to eat. This could also be done for Challenge Park because we all know the amount of guests who have no clue it's even there.
Again, the possibilities are endless when you have your own in-house television network that is reaching 20-40 thousand people a day.
A rotation to include more popular genres of music usually comes with having to pay more royalties. I have strong feeling it would be beyond CP's budget to pay more for music. I would rather the money be put into the park for our enjoyment, not paying for some whacked out musicians monthly drug habit.
Cedar Point probably just pays a PRO license (Performing Rights Organization) that gives them the right to replay music/video. It usually covers all genres of music so expanding to others would not impact the fees. There are several PRO's out there so Cedar Point may very well carry multiple licenses to cover more artists. I know we carry multiple licenses where I work to cover distributing music and video throughout our facilities.

Cedar Point does in fact have multiple contracts to cover all types of music/musicians so they can basically play anything they like.
Because we all know musicians don't actually work, right? ;) Didn't sacrifice their free time learning to play an instrument while we were all watching TV and playing video games instead...obviously this doesn't apply to all so called musicians but for the real ones they desrve to get paid for successfully using the skills they developed.
So basically we can rule out all pop music? :)
Never trust a band that doesn't play their own instruments and write their own songs.

Speaking of FunTV, I visited Kings Island this past weekend and I was impressed with the amount of reality show-style content that was being added between the music videos, entertainment news, weather updates, coaster POV videos, and visual games/quizzes that have been seen many times already at CP. Kings Island filmed segments such as:
Game show Coa$terCa$h in the same style as Cash Cab but with people riding coasters,
Behind-the-scenes clip of KI's executive chef developing new food options while also plugging a local Cincinnati community college's culinary arts program,
30 second hype video for KI's awesome Cirque Imagine live show,
Ads showing the fun side to applying to be a Screamster at KI in the fall,
Ads for the all-day and season dining plan along with Fast Lane.
I've heard that KI is the production center of FunTV so maybe they'll roll out more park-specific content next season. Anyway, Cedar Fair is slowly developing FunTV into more of a broadcast network-style experience.
I was also at KI for the first time this weekend and I was thinking the same thing about their Fun TV. I was impressed so much with the park in general, from the ride and food selection to the employees. I'm going to CP this weekend, but my niece and I wish we were going back to KI instead, that's how much we loved it. I'm sure it's just because it was all new to us, but there definitely were some things that were just much better at KI.
I'll be going to KI for the first time at the end of this month. I'm really looking forward to it.

I know this is not a KI tip thread, but I can't help it.....If it's a day when they are open until 10, save riding The Beast until it's dark out. I'd heard it was worth the wait to ride at night, and everyone was totally right. That's what we did and it now tops my favorite coasters of all time. Being CP regulars, I was prepared for KI to be a little lame, but it was not at all. Even their kid's log ride was pretty fun. If you are going to the water park, don't miss Pineapple Pipeline and Tropical Twister. Those two sets of slides are all awesome, especially the orange one! Graeter's Ice Cream double sized sundae was pretty amazing too. Huge sundae to share with someone and great value with the PP discount.
