I was in line for Rougarou around 7:45 tonight, and there was an 80's song that I wanted to know the name of but forgot the beat. Is there a list of songs or specifically 80's songs played?

If you got a smartphone, get the Soundhound app. That app helped me find lots of songs. The phone just listens to the song that's playing, then tells you what it is. That's one of only about 3 apps I actually bought.

I got Soundhound before Google could do that. But Soundhound keeps a record of songs that you searched for, which is another feature I like about it.

Just putting it out there as a free option for those who have devices equipped with Google Now. :)

If the video was shown can you describe the video at all? Male or female lead singer? Total longshot but I watched waaaaay too much MTV back in the '80s.

All I saw fast was a close up of a black girl, probably 25, on a side angle singing, and I think a bunch of white people on a colorful floor dancing. The camera was going from person to person I think. It was a really popular beat with a kind of "bsss" at the end. Horrible description, I know. Anything?

Google also does the same. There's a "What song is this" widget. Works quite well, especially if you have Google All Access.
