I know this has been semi brought up before, but basically announced and that was it.
At Kings Island this past weekend and got to see Fun TV in the queue lines for almost all of the rides and was honestly impressed. Just how it looks starting out was already impressive enough, and as more details and items get put onto it I'm sure it will be better. For those that were down there I'm sure they can agree. For those who haven't seen the finished product yet, I'm sure you're due to be surprised. I think this will be a very interesting and neat addition to the parks.

Just part of the amazing transformation in the culture of the company since Matt Ouimet took over. I can't wait to see it for myself when CP opens.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
I was at KI all day Sunday, and was really impressed with Fun TV. Not too intrusive. Fun little games and trivia. Sports and weather updates. Looking forward to Cedar Point!
Was also at KI this past weekend, and I enjoyed it as well. My only complaint is that this would likely mean the themed music in the queues is removed and replaced with FunTV. Also the stuff did seem repetitive (saw the same music videos and trivia several times), but I can only assume this will improve as it's still new.
As far as quality I was surprised at how good it looked. It appears to run off of some sort of IP-TV system, and was great HD quality. Unlike the junk TVs KI used to have, this is visible in the sunlight.
What themed music in the queues are you talking about? I haven't heard themed music in the queues for years other than FOF and Beast station.

As far as the themed music, I was thinking from the perspective of Cedar Point and it replacing their ride queue theme music.
I really hope they don't get rid of the 80's music in Magnums's queue.
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!
I think I mentioned this before, but the company got a "TV department" when it acquired Paramount Parks, and promptly shut it down. Funny how things come full circle.

^Good point, never thought of it.
I think sadly you will see some music leave the queues. For instance this year Beast doesn't have it's typical Lost music in the queue, only both lift hills. I think station music will stay as I don't see TV's going inside the stations themselves. KI has alot of queues combined with stations so they contain them there as well, but CP I think won't have that issue. Plus with some stations I don't see it working in there at all.
But one weekend down with pretty good content, some good, some bad. Def major room for improvement and more things added on.

I really hope they don't get rid of the queue music (especially MF, Magnum, Maverick and TTD) as well as the rides' station music songs.
I hope it'll just be in queues that have had no/little music in previous years, like Mean Streak, Blue Streak, Mantis, Gemini, CCMR, etc.
When I first heard the idea of "in-house TV" I thought it would be something used in hotel rooms when guests first arrive (like a lot of up-scale, "tourist-ey", "vacation-ey" hotels do).
Overall, though, I like the idea.

Being a girl...doesn't pertain to me, but, OMG-just about choked reading that! LOL!
Thanks for the chuckle...not so much for the visual !~)
Girls can have issues with the restraint too, trust me my one day on that platform was made awkward by one female there lmao.

ok...gotta admit, makes me very curious, but, NOT curious enough to ask! I can imagine enough awkward issues after seeing some of the clothes that folks wear there.
Never have understood folks going to the park with potentially 'revealing' clothing...and while I'm on the subject, why would ANYONE EVER wear high heels to an amusement park?! I just don't get it~crazy
For those interested in FunTV, Tony has posted a new blog with information about it.
