^I always smile when I see something about Cedar Point in an unrelated place like that.
I was reading this weird book called No more Dead Dogs when I was in 7th grade, and I remember in the first few pages this girl randomly starts talking about this 'really cool place called Cedar Point' and described it a little. It was never mentioned again after that. :)
Summer was made for a Cedar Point day~
Here's a Dragster one: The green train getting stuck on top of the tower in June 2005 was not the first time a train was stuck like that. It was the first time it happened when it was loaded, but the gold train was stuck on top of the tower earlier that season during testing. I belive it also happened once more before the 2005 season during testing.

I know it happened before the ride even opened in 2003, during inaugural testing too.

I was under the impression that it's been stuck about 5 times now. 2 of which were with people on the ride. If I recall correctly, the 2 with people were about a year apart.

This is a link to a video of Top Thrill Dragster stuck at the top. It shows someone taking the elevator to the top to fix the situation. It states it happened on June 24, 2005. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeOEZqbCjzQ

I believe that was the second time with passangers on board. I think there are pictures of the first time, but no video.

(It looks like the stock on ride footage they used was the Corkscrew at Vancouver's Playland which was also used in the Final Destination 3 movie).
Back to CP Fun facts. These are fun to read. I've been thinking but I don't have any I that aren't in a book or online. If I think of one I'll post it. Didn't the person who shot that video of TTD stuck at the top on June 2005 worked on the Iron Dragon crew the following season?
The forward pass was not invented on Lake Erie's shore, because it was around before them. However Knute Rockne did practice said forward pass with Gus Dorais in their spare time the summer before they used it to defeat Army that fall. That game, while it was not the first game with a forward pass, made it popular because a huge underdog (ND) used it do defeat a major power (Army.)
