Ride on 17, I plan on Studying Mechanical Engineering to do something in the Amusement field. Ohio State and Toledo were both on my list of possible schools and both at one point or another had a student program like this. At most colleges they allow you to start a student program if X number of students are interested, which is why i plan on restarting that group my preferred college, Toledo. FYI, OSU was just a little too big for me.
That's cool. I like the big feel of OSU so I guess that's why I like it so much. But I can see why you thought it was too big. I know a lot of people who say that. Anyway, I plan on going into some type of engineering too so being a part of a group like this would be awesome.

As an alumni, I'll warn you that Toledo isn't going to be any better at making you feel like you're getting any individualized attention or service.
That said, I do know that UT at least had some sort of amusement park engineering student organization, although I wouldn't be surprised if it's fallen by the wayside after the founders graduated.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Want an excellent, low student-to-teacher ratio engineering education? Go to Michigan Tech. :)

Oh yeah here we go. Way better than what were talking about in Anthropology XD
This is the point in the project, when I start to think.. Someone had to say "Hey lets put a track over the entrance", Someone else had to say "Sure no problem"...
Then the engineers take over and design it, because they can do anything.. :) and the construction workers assemble it.. and complain that the engineers don't know what they are doing, and without them this project would never get assembled... :)
Did I miss anything...
The track looks awesome in the towers..
This is really getting exciting...
GATEKEEPER-I came, I rode, I was mildly disappointed; until a second ride (rear left) put GateKeeper back on the...it's a nice ride list.
It's too bad that the construction workers who are working good hours in cold weather can't entertain you a little more
They also might be on lunch right now. Usually they take that around 12:30 or so but today was a little late...
First rollback on Dragster July 23 2003 since then 15
^^^You're crazy if you think it's taking a long time. For these construction workers to install three pieces in between these key holes in one day is more than I thought they would do. Kudos to them.
^ I think why people think it's taking a long time is because the 3rd piece has been up since before noon, and they still haven't released them from the cranes.
They put 2 pieces up today. That is pretty slow compared to how quickly they have been installing track on this coaster thus far.
Actually they put up 3 today. there were 2 unsupported pieces between the keyholes with the 3rd being connected to the 2nd keyhole.

I can't tell if any of you are kidding because you refrained from using InteRneTZ sMiLey FACes, but for real?
I hope some of you realize that track pieces aren't just lifted up and screwed in. They have to adjust the angle at which it's rigged, and if they make a mistake, lower it down and try again.
On top of that, they're threading a giant piece of steel through a hole AND holding up unsupported steel connected to that steel. Hanging by cables. In the cold.
I understand discussing a topic, but some of this is out of hand. LOLz!

I'm not complaining. In fact when I go to Cedar Point on Opening day, I am going to ask whoever I can of who the construction company is and write them a Thank you card. :)
