As close as those towers appear to be to each other, that roll looks like it will be very intense.
Just remember that the roll isn't straight through the keyholes, its arched. Also, it looks like (from the poor perspective of the webcam) that there is at least 80 feet in between the towers, which is plenty of room for a nice Zero-G Roll.
This isn't Intamin, I think they planned for this. :)
Glad to see construction is moving fwd despite what happened yesterday ( great observation davidw.) A friend of mine emailed me a link to some photos taken by some Penn State engineering students who were touring GK this past weekend take a look. http://www.psuthemeparkengineering.com/gatekeeper-construction-tour.html
Awesome, so the train will leave under the operator booth. That's a really cool dynamic to the station.

Doesn't look that way to me...I see all kinds of trucks, equipment and workers.....
I should have been more specific. Track and support installation looks to be halted. They have been bringing track pieces over to the crane, so hopefully if there is a problem, it's a quick fix.
Removed support is going back up

Since I will be looking at colleges within the next year, this is a really cool group. Penn State didn't used to be very high on my list, but after reading about that group, it got me really excited. Does anyone know if any other colleges have a group like this that focuses on roller coaster engineering and designing? I would love it if Ohio State has a group like this since as of now that's my top school choice, but I haven't heard/seen anything about a group like it there.

RideOn17, I was originally studying in Mechanical Engineering, and every college has different programs, where suggestions like this may be brought up to the President, Dean, or coordinator. Unfortunately, I changed my major and never got to go on cool trips like this. But, you live and learn.
Ride On 17, Ohio State does have a Theme Park group. Here is the link for more info.
