I would think if they are going to ditch Sandcastle (and I'd be all for that since it was built on the cheap, remodeled on the cheap, and just seems so second rate for the spot it occupies), they'd some sort of a tower hotel out there. More cabins are fine, but in order to have enough population on-point at night to support some of the nightlife stuff people want, I would think they're going to need more density than the cabins provide.

My opinion is that Cedar Point cannot fill the desires of every demographic. If that demographic was late night people then they wouldn't have spent all that money on the kiddie pool they put in last year. Not many younger adults can even afford a 2 night stay at Breakers. That's the demographic that would cause late night entertainment to be profitable. The demographic they are looking for is hopefully in line at the gate 15 minutes before early entry at 8:45am and as long as their human probably worn out by 11:00am with the desire to do it again tomorrow.
So by your theory, only younger adults like to have late night entertainment but they can't afford a room, so they put the kiddie pool in for all the pregnant 40 year old women for when they have their child? Also, the middle aged and old folks who can afford a room are early risers to get to the gate at 8:30am but are worn out by 11:00am, so they return to the hotel as long as they are human? Aliens stay in the park longer? Middle aged and old folks wouldn't go to a Margaritaville after they are worn out at 11:00am, even though they would be at the hotel all afternoon and evening? Also, I guess all the people I see hanging out at the fire pits, in the rotunda and on the beach after midnight wouldn't be tempted to go to a fun place with some entertainment? Right, makes so much sense. BTW, there are tennis courts at CP and the beach takes the place of the golf course.

I would definitely like to see SC get some attention. It is starting to get run down and needs catching up to the rest of the park. It could also use maybe a new slide complex or water coaster. As for challenge park it seems there are still people who use it. I dont really. I did the cars once and wasnt very thrilled by them. It seems like there could be updating of that area with something different maybe, and the mini golf is definitely outdated and could use a revamp or replaced by something else. I think the park could use some better food options. It needs some original flavor. Not just your garden variety park food. Also would like to see some really cool flats or a dark ride. I think we are good on massive coasters for a while. Im not sure on the nightclub or bar on the beach. I guess it would be neat to have a beach bar kinda down the beach toward Breakers East, but Im just not sure why they would spend money on building and staffing something when there is already multiple bars inside the hotel that cater to the beach area. Especially since they already have activities on the beach now and the live band. They arent out there till 1am every night, but maybe they dont want people drinking that late on the beach for safety reasons? Or maybe they havent pitched the idea around yet. Also you have to take into consideration that people drinking till 1 or 2am will be coming back into the hotel and waking up other guests. Just stating all the obvious considerations.
Tony just tweeted this picture, although he said #notahint but we know it's coming. Maybe for 2017, but I think a focus on Soak City is more likely with other parks making improvements to their water parks.

There's the chance that it could just be, you know, a bottle of perfume that he bought. ;)

Now he can save on spray, since CP relaxed its shaving guidelines for next year

That perfume is designed to smell like a dark water ride. I don't see CP going that direction anytime soon. #notahint
2017:
The water park additions could happen in 2017 but I think the focus for this year is bringing back the dark ride to CP and I think the Dark Ride will be the focus for the year of 2017 weather to just make it an interactive indoor ride like Toy Story or build another indoor coaster like Disaster Transport! But I agree the water park needs!
Rides: Now I bring this up a lot but since your saying the full year of 2017 on what CP should focus on I think Cedar Point should first do an Indoor Interactive western themed shooting ride where your in carts and you shoot at 3D things like in Toy Story Mania!
Take Away: Something I think Cedar Point should do is get rid of the Dinosaurs Alive and put in a boat ride again that would make workers happy because lets just face it who wouldn't love to be a skipper on a boat ride like Jungle Cruise @ WDW or Jaws! The Dinosaurs Alive thing is no longer attracted a big amount of people that it did in debut year 2012!
Halloweekends: Bring back CarnEvil and Terror Island and Overlord Show and get rid of FearyTales! The indoor haunts are set for years now they should focus on the outdoor walkthroughs lets just face it the two I mentioned are the best this park has ever had, and lastly FearyTales = Disaster
Water Park situation: I actually love the water park soak city its just what i think should be the focus is the temperature in the water because it seems to be cold a lot now I know its something CP cant control because they are located by the lake but it feels cold every time in those pools! As for the water rides I think Thunder Canyon should stay and so should Shoot The Rapids but I think seeing Snake River Falls would open area to a possible coaster!
NEW!!! Entertainment : I think the park should get a big screen put it in the middle of the park and play a DVD of the parks history, and also show sports events like Cavs games I think it would be nice to inform all the youngsters about what used to be here and nice for the people to be able to watch Cavs Playoff Games at CP every summer! This would be a nice replacement to that old screen they had back a couple years ago!
Closing Statement: Thank you guys for listening to my opinion make sure to tell me your opinions and thoughts about the comment you just took in!

No. No more screens. Ever.

You can see a DVD of the parks history in the Town Hall Museum. Drive-in screens went out a long time ago, we don't need another one in the park. That thing was an ugly monstrosity.

Seconding. No more screens, please.

Going out on a limb here.... this is based on a personal dislike for the attraction and not on hard data.
I'm a Marxist, of the Groucho sort.
I'm guessing they keep and maintain the largest attraction gift shop in the park at the dinosaurs because it's a huge waste of money and very unpopular.

I guess you have a great point there, your not the only one that didn't like the screen it seems like people hate the screen at CP a lot when it was there! I guess your right because that screen blocked the beautiful Millennium Force view we see today!

It was worse when there was the nice view ruined of Giant Wheel along with the Funway Station when that hideous screen went up.
Playing devil's advocate for a giant screen. I could maybe see a mobile temporary screen that could be set up on random nights for late night movies on the beach or in the waterpark. But nothing permanent. They're very ugly permanent structures.
I think I remember seeing an inflatable screen over the summer, last year, on the beach.

Wolfbobs: a temporary screen showing movies would be a great idea.
