Very costly to opperate. It ran through the dumpiest part of the park, and any parts they needed for it had to be custom made. There are probably additional reasons.

^It was a constant maintenance headace when i was there. I can't imagine that it got any better in the last five years.
^^^I always thought that the best place to put a hyper was along 43 for a variety of reasons. Now there's one ride that could have a big impact when the time comes. First they need a product to warrent that kind of exposure.
You're right, its not going nowhere. It's going somewhere. And I can only hope its to Michigan's Adventure.
And before anyone jumps on that, I know its a long shot, that doesn't mean I can't hope.
EDIT
Dj, he did have a '.' at the end of his post. I just think he needs to call geek squad and have them check it out.

Goodbye MrScott
John
There's also an apostrophe before the "08".
I'm thinking that it's an intermittent issue and Jugga may be right about Geek Squad. I'd have them check the Shift key also.

Ride on, MrScott!
I highly doubt Dominator will go anywhere. Dominator and Thunderhawk are the best steel coasters Geauga Lake has. It would be foolish for them to get rid of Dominator. Now I could understand Steel Venom, and the Monorail, but I didn't understand the move of X-Flight. That's ok though, I'm planning on going to Kings Island this year anyway. I honestly cannot see them moving Dominator anywhere.
If they remove dominator, I think that will be the nail in the coffin.
Besides, it would be next to imposable to move the ride due to it's uniqe footprint and footers. They would have to rebuild half of the rides supports.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
I would assume that X-Flight is currently more of a priority since they are trying to have it open at KI by Memorial Day. I would say that once they have everything for X-Flight shipped that is possible to reuse, then they will start on Steel Venom. Because, it is probably the same company doing the work for both rides.

^^ But I am so excited to see another ride being removed, arent you? :-)

There's nothing unique about Dominator's footings. If they wanted to, that ride could easily be relocated. If you want to talk about difficult rides to relocate, look at rides like Tatsu or Nemesis, not Dominator.
With the terrain Dominator is built on it might be difficult or cost prohibitive to move it. But hey, they might just take it out because they can.
Got some more pics today.

Aw, come on Mike, they really do have the best interest in mind when dealing with the park.
At least I hope they do.
