ESD Events!!

I'm surprised they would get there as late as 3 pm

Most of the bigger bands start at 5 am if not the day before for an evening show.

What happened to the idea of the concert on the beach? I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to section off some of the beach and nobody would be in the way of setting up. They could start at 8am for all it matters (7-10 hours to set up for a concert? Hell, DMB only took 6 hours at The Swamp). Maybe the idea is whack, but it would be so cool if they could somehow pull it off.

The problem with the beach is that it would be hard to keep people out of it (non employees) and the noise factor. You can't keep resorts guests up all night with a concert, especially if they can't even attend.

Who said they can't attend? And read what I said...section some of it off for preparations, then open it up to everyone. Keep resort guests awake? Do you think "Pinkley" worried about the guests? I think not...what's some noise til 2am gonna hurt? Most of them are on vacation anway (hell, most of them would probably come too :) )

I'd be willing to bet at 2am 90% of the guests in Hotel Breakers are asleep.

Remember.. family resort.. not 18 year old hangout.. (that's down the road closer to Cleveland).

To steal an idea form our webmaster...

If your going to let guests attend, then what would be the point of an ESD event?

And the sound would be a factor, not only to guest, but also to residence on the Chaussee.

Umm let me guess, um, um KINZEL??????
If you were CEO.. would you want that noise in your backyard???

I'm not CEO and I know I wouldn't... it's simple people.. it's really not all that possible..

Trust me.. I'd love it if it would happen.. but.. I've got a small grip on reality.

P.S. Hi Betsy.. ;) I've got your red jacket.. but you still need to pay up...

I dont get why cp doesnt have bands at the park anyway. I know alot of parks already have bands at the park to bring in more people. I havent read the whole post yet so maybe someone already said all this. But it would be so much fun if there was a night for employees to go to the beach at midnight and have a live concert from a band that is on their way up the music charts that isnt really popular yet. I can just imagine how much fun that would be!

Name a GOOD place to have a show, and don't say the beach or WildCat midway.

Ballroom, Louies, or even Good Times Theater (better get rid of the ice!)
Well, 99er i do not know Sandusky that well, which is the reason why i asked the question, "Isnt there a place close to Cedar Point that ESD can rent out and have a band play for the employees?"...i dont know if there is a place ESD can rent, i dont even know if ESD has the budget to rent a place and pay for a band...i was just asking dude
you nailed it on the head...

budget...

As for the Good Time.. #1 it takes days to get the ice back once you remove it.. so there you're talking about a week of show downtime.

Second.. even during the "off season" of the show. You can't hold a live show in there WITHOUT ice unless certain things are added and it isn't cheap.

Knott's has done the conversion for thier venue.. hence thier large Halloweekends show there.. we haven't..
