Erection of Skyhawk

Jason - I think your right. I would guess that there are/were "iron workers" assembling the structure (same as Dragster & MF). Then the Plumbers and Electrical guys will take over from there. Probably all overseen by the manufacturers rep on site. S&S has quite a traveling/construction team. Then all the debugging will eventually start.

I already saw a Lucas Plumbing van in one of the pictures Walt posted. We work with them and if they have work to do, I doubt their men would be taking off.

Big time differences on the Skyhawk logo compared to maXair's. It just arrived, and it looks like they are going to put it in place today. :)

From everyone on the CP&LE, RIP Mayor Scott...~

Yeah looks pretty impressive, i think maxair's sign should of been up in the air to like Skyhawks.

I don't think there are any places on maXair to put it up in the air.

Mr scttmm31,

Forgive me, but who is Mackenzie Watts? I'm sure he would be delighted that the question was even asked...yet alone answered.

They could put it the maXair sign on the side of the legs (away from the swing of the gondola)....but it wouldn't look too good. It would only be visable from the parking lot and if you were to stand under it. So yeah there's no real place to put it. If it had large braces that went across the top, that were far enough away from the max swing, then maybe. Here's an example from my model of what I mean.

And for the heck of it, here's my SkyHawk model.:)

Did you do that just to get your point across? If so, you have way to much time on your hands.

I can think of 47 thousand other things he could be doing (most of which could get him in trouble). Chill, Jason.

Well that and it was a project for my pre-engineering class. What would you do if your teacher said that you had to make a working amusement park ride....I mean how could I resist?? Everybody else (literally) did Wave Swinger style swings!!....not to mention that mine's the only one that's exstensively detailed.:) *** Edited 12/28/2005 11:02:31 PM UTC by TTD 120mph***

Mackenzie was one of my classmates and one of my good friends. She had a seizure after swimming a relay in a swim meet.

Does anybody have a webcam pic with the Skyhawk sign up?

They didn't put the sign up today. Just moved it, I guess.

See:

Thank you Keith.

Does it look like they installed or somewhat put in the lines to the motor? also looks as the seats arrived this mornin and now covered.

Doesnt look like anymore work will be done today, the weather isnt coperating

It look like they could be putting up the sign today.

There is a person up at the top where the sign is going to go and there is a person on a ladder next to the sign on the ground.
