So is any one else watching the erection of the Skyhawk supports right now? And is any one else saving the pictures as they come up?

Mark your calendars.
Weather permitting, erection of the steel is scheduled for Tuesday morning. -Tony & Tyler
Acording to T&T, they will be putting up the supports tomorrow. What you are seeing is site preperation.

Weather permitting, erection of the steel is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
Then on Wednesday morning, you’ll see the “something big and blue” (otherwise known as the top of Skyhawk covered in a blue tarp) get raised to the top of the structure, topping off the ride. from T&T page

cron and wget.
I think they changes the direction of the camera like they said they would. Plus the top section of Skyhawk is now in view of the camera. Plus the weather forcast for the week looks promising. (except friday)

The erection is tommarrow. And I will *try* to save the pictures every minute, and make a time lapse.
I have to miss the vertical construction because of school.:(
BTW, bbll24 I know this makes me sound childish but, that sounded wrong.:)

So... okay, still new into the technical aspects of computering, is there anyone that can point me into the right direction of using wget? I found an already packaged Window binary, yay... but the manual is a tad confusing for 9:30 at night. I think taking the shot every minute would be nice, but if I can't do it, oh well.

Isn't it too cold for Skyhawk to have an erection?

Excellent idea, but I'm willing to bet at least 70% of the Pointbuzz community have any idea what you're talking about without Googling it.

:D That was the purpose of posting it. Two handy-dandy programs. When the TTD Station cam was mounted on top of the fence next to the photo booth, I setup a crontab and wget'ed every 5 minutes from open to close.. Unfortunately, the camera went down about 1535 and I didn't make my around there until 1820 or so. So, I never did get myself on camera.
Admitting that makes me feel like a major nerd.
I knew what it was, I just never used it and didn't think about it. But as FastBall84 said it is really too much technical crap for me to worry about at 12 at night, and I won't have time to get it tomorrow because I have to head out at 6 am and get down to Sandusky for a business meeting. HMMMM maybe I can get in and take some real pics on a break or something. Something to think about.
PS. Sorry about the title, after posting it I started to think about it, and wondered how long until someone made a joke about it. Not very long at all :) *** Edited 12/20/2005 4:47:20 AM UTC by Morté615***
