That would be cool. I doubt they would, but if they did, I would go.

Hey Walt, did you get a time laspe of today? I was able to catch a glance at it at school but it had already been topped. I had to show my pre-engineering teacher what I was making a model of(our project is to make an amusement park ride and yes I'm doing Skyhawk....well actually an "S&S Swing" as well as a Chance Morgan Revolution, which is done:)).

Great pictures walt!

I want to say Thank you Walt for those pictures, I feel like I just recieved an early Christmas card or something. I enjoyed the pictures more then the time lapse. The Time lapse is cool because its like a fast forward of the whole day. And as much as I like to see things happening, I'm not patient enough to watch the webcam all day so the time Lapse shows me what I missed.

The new gallery photo entries, MidayVision and time lapse videos are awesome. Thanks so much for the coverage Walt and Pointbuzz.

Looks like there getting ready to put together the swing arms, wow this ride is going up fast, they prolly want to get as much done before the holliday.

Is it just me or does that thing look ridiculous next to the museum?

Gomez, I called it I think....unless I'm totally not getting what you're saying. ;)
I admit the whole area looks a little harsh but they are in the midst of construction so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I do think they should have used more natural colors, like Tennessee Tornado at Dollywood.

Remember when some freaked out because the compressor room started out with concrete blocks? Don't judge the final product until you see the final product. Believe it or not, they are aware of the Frontiertown "feel" and are designing accordingly.

The ride is huge in person, but because it's tucked into an unused corner, it does not really overwhelm the area.

If you actually take a look at the rendering of the ride, you can see how the compressor room is going to look the same as CCMR's shed or whatever you call it.

I think it will be nice to see people in Frontier Town again. Just like I was to see people come to the WT Midway.

For whatever it's worth the CCMR building is the storage/transfer track/maintenance building for all the trains. It will store 4 trains at once.

They are currently putting up the swing part on the ride. Check it out at http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/inside_park/webcam/camera3.cfm.

Does anybody know when they will put up the actuall vehicals for the ride? It looks as if they are almost done with the vehical supports.

There aren't really "vehicles" on Skyhawk. Just a couple rows of seats attached to the arms. As to when they'll go on, this week would be a guess, but I'm not sure that the workers are making full days this week because of the holidays.

With my experience in contracting, I would say not only are they working full days, but they may be working four 10 hour days to make up for the missed day on monday. Many contractors don't get paid for holidays. Union 120 pipefitters don't. I'm pretty sure Union 55 plumbers don't either.
