Dragster offically 2nd Tallest
They don't follow this policy at all. I got in line for Kingda Ka 5 minutes before closing and waited 90 minutes. I honestly couldn't blame them for the policy though if they ever did decide to implement it. That line reaches well over 4 to 5 hours on weekdays.
Big Hint: Get there at 9:30, get parked, get to the gate, and run to X first thing. I waited about 15 minutes when it was all said and done for my X ride this past trip.
I waited around 3 hours for my first X ride the first trip I took out there. And, that was getting in the gate around 10:15, riding a walk-on revolution and then getting in line (it must have not been much later than 10:45)
Dragster may maintain it's tallest coaster rights as Kingda Ka has had a MAJOR malfuncion! Great Adventure isn't sure yet if they are going to fix the coaster after a huge accident that happened maybe Friday, May 10? or on Thursday May 9? not exactally sure but....I do know that it is done for the year. There were no people on the ride at the time, thank God, they are saying if there were, the crash would probably have KILLED at least 11 people. The investigations are only starting and it's a very scary situation. Sections of track or some steel rods went right up through seats!!!! The whole structure may be bent.
