I read somewhere else that yesterday they were seen replacing the motors that needed to be replaced, my guess is they wil start testing today and have it reopened later in the day and hopefully by friday...
There were several new kicker wheel motors waiting to be installed when I was there last weekened under the station. Those might be the motors that were seen being installed.

according to two RELIABLE sources, the part has arrived and is being installed. EARLIEST open: late tonight LATEST: Saturday
We'll see.
The news is sounding great for my trip. The only downside is I've read a ton of people are going this weekend. I bet its going to be packed :( Oh well, one ride on MF, TTD, WT, and Maggie, will be worth the trip.

has anyone seen it testing yet? The CP site says it will be down for Friday, May 26th but I would imagine they put that on there and will update it later if they got it running today.

I would check when the park opens later today. I think they may put it on there, then maybe because if something happens and couldn't get the parts in or not enough testing due to storms (we had a lot of severe weather today, I know, and Michigan's weather is the same as Sandusky usually. )

A blown gear box or lift motor tends to be the best guess right now because, as we left today, at the base of the lift by the spool there was a large yellow PTO shaft laying out not connected to anything.I assume the park didn't have any spares, so they probably ripped it out, flew it to Intamin and is having them repair/replace it. I doubt it will be down for Memorial Day weekend (friday included).
To recap, I'm still batting 1000...

Right now on the website it dosnt have the thing at the bottom that says its down, maybe they are expecting it to be up when the park opens, but i guess I have to call and make sure...
Look, there is absolutely nothing that we can do to get the Force back up and running. Believe me, I really want it to get fixed, because I am going to the Point on Monday, but there is simply nothing that we can do. Speculating the problem isn't going to help either. Why don't you start a thread that says "Speculation on what is wrong with Millennium Force"? The title of this thread is "Down?". This thread should be used to report happenings with the repair, testing, etc. of Millennium Force, NOT speculating what is wrong with it. This is just my personal opinion, and no offense was meant. Here's to hoping the Force opens up soon!
Fox 8 Cleveland reported that the park hopes to reopen the ride by Monday.
