Mascots are fine, but I hate a park that is dedicated to promoting something like a mouse.
I usually refrain from these sorts of things anymore, but you're a closed-minded moron.
I have (to the best of my knowledge, anyway) never met Jeff, do not claim to know him, and have no immediate plans to buy him a drink-whether on vacation or not.
However, both sides are right: Jeff is defining CP as HE wants it to be--as is his right. Of course, others have the right (although not necessarily on someone else's web site) to define CP as THEY want it to be.
Quite frankly, CP should be as I want it to be and the rest of you don't matter ;)
BTW, from what I hear the old Riverview Park in Chicago was the "worlds best amusement park"
This Isn't A Hospital--It's An Insane Asylum!
In my opinion no one could take cp's place. Just the location and it being on a pennisula is enough to where it cant be topped in my book.
That's a lot like saying it's OK to get mugged viewing the Grand Canyon.

Why would you apologize about that. You are entitled to your opinion about this site and can bash it and its manager just like this site does to CP and Kinzel.
Just like many of the quotes on this post that say CP needs to make changes that are really easy, well i can say the same thing about this site. I have been posting occasionally for about a year exactly now and it has changed in that time. When attendance is up during the summer the attitude on here is that CP is number one, but is capable of doing better and during the off season CP sucks and the title of "best amusement park in the world" should be taken right away from it. I am not claiming they are perfect but obviously they are the closest. I could believe that maybe the magizine that we are all refering to once maybe did favor CP for advertizing reasons to get itself started, but it is a lie to say that for 11 years it has favored CP. Also its not like CP wins it by 25.3 % of the vote with the runner up at 24.9%. No it's a landslide every year. Whatever, it's all opinion anyways and people who have more say in it than this site claim CP is #1 so deal with it. How will you all manage to live your lives knowing that terrible thing.
Don't quote the previous post. And no, actually he's not entitled to "bash" the site or the owner just because he disagrees with someone. If you want to debate something, then debate it on the merits of the subject, not your own half-baked ideas on what someone's personality is.

I think we're going to have to get the peace pipe out. Does anyone have Michael Phelps' number? He does not need his anymore.
I think that right Cedar Point is the best amusment park. But like all great things its reign as best will come to an end. Someone will build something that may be even better. But for now I think CP will be the best for many more years to come.
What will we think of next!?! LOLZ
Lemon Chill guy told me they're going to re-open Geauga Lake and premier a 600 foot B&M floorless with a 110 degree drop and only 50 feet of the drop above the ground, the other 550 is going to go under the lake, and that's gunna make it the "world's best amusement park." He said it's cause if they build it under the ground to begin with, it probly won't sink any further.
This is my first post here.
I think that management needs to step back and look at these prices through a customer’s view. I know that these outrageous prices have led me to bring my own food. Maybe I’m crazy, but I think more people would buy food at the park if they didn’t feel like they were being robbed or if the quality of the food actually justified the price. Excuse me if I sound like I’m complaining or if I’m being redundant to someone else’s post. I’m just frustrated that this rip-off situation continues to happen at the place I love.

Welcome to Pointbuzz.
I would say you are being redundant, but it can't be said enough. Food Service at Cedar Point, as a whole, sucks. Management needs to get their heads around this concept and do something to fix it.

We are all very aware of CP's food >_>
but back on topic, no. Cedar Point offers 17 coasters for a reason. They are a "Thrill" amusement park, not a "theme" park.
Seperating those categories like most people have said, gives CP my vote for amusement parks
Yes, but Cedar Point has dipped its foot in the theming pool in the past (see Frontier Trail, CP&LE Railroad, Maverick, etc.) They well could expand on those efforts.
And why does it have to be an either/or proposition?

Why does it have to be the best? If you like it then you are going to visit it. If CP is 2nd best or lower is that going to make you avoid it?
Zach, who will visit CP if its the best or not. . .
Let's Get Weird.
(1) Why shouldn't it? Why shouldn't CP strive to be the best amusement park in the world? It's not, but nevertheless it has a tremendous number of things going for it. Your question is simply another way of saying, why shouldn't CP try to get as many customers as possible, or why shouldn't CP try to make as much money as it can? It's a rhetorical question without an interesting answer.
(2) No, CP being the 2nd best (which it's not, see above answer) wouldn't make me avoid it . . . completely. But it certainly plays an impact in determining how many times I visit the park, and how many people I bring with me, and how much money I spend while I'm there. Put it this way: I usually hit CP 8 - 10 times a season. That's enough for me. But if there were better theming, some higher quality family rides, not to mention better food quality, service and pricing, I might be disposed to visiting it more than I do now.
Mike, who's been to enough other parks to know that Cedar Point isn't utopia -- only a very good park that could easily do better.

My post wasn't directed at you Mike. I didn't even really read your post above mine I was just stating what I thought. I know CP isn't the best. I thought Busch Gardens Europe was the best, and that was even before Griffon. CP should strive to be the best (especially in the food area), but I was just stating even if its 3rd or 4th I'm going to visit it.
