So i have been thinking is there a park around today or a future park that could indeed take the spot as the worlds best amusement park away from Cedar Point. Or is there in your eyes a park that is better then Cedar Point?

Right now I believe cedar point is the best park in the world. In the next couple years they might need to step their game up though.
I never really took that poll to seriously (at least I am assuming you are referring to "Amusement Park Today".).
I guess it is what you are looking for. I love CP and how it is situated on the lake. I like the fact that it has a few choices of resorts and a Camper Village for my parent on the property. I also like the fact that Soak City is so close. Soak City is one of the main reasons I stay on point. (I like the close proximity to my room for changing, even though the park is very dated). Although, each time I still go home thinking to myself "I paid JW Marriot prices for a Comfort Inn room". I however justify this to myself in another way.
I have not been to many parks, but I can say that they are on the tops for coasters and having a resort with multiple areas in walking distance).
I would however rate the Orlando parks as the best themeing. Knoebels the best classic park and food. Kennywood a close second on Knoebels. Canada's Wonderland looks like the best flat ride park if that is what you like. I however have not been there.

How much time have you spent thinking about this, exactly?
I've been thinking about that.

I've always thought Busch Gardens Europe was the best park I've ever been to. I can't speak for any parks I haven't been to, but I've been to just about all the major ones on the Eastern seaboard and BGE takes the cake for me. Cedar Point just gets that title because of the roller coasters.
I'm wondering if that park in Dubai ever gets off the ground if it can take over as "World's Best Park" in the voting.
In my book best all around park: Walt Disney World
Best Stand Alone Theme Park: BGE
Best Stand Alone Amusement Park: CP
Its really hard to compare those three separate categories, but if forced to choose I would rank them: WDW, BGE, and then CP.
I like all the parks i've been to for very different reasons.
That is, I would not even attemot to compare Dollywood to Cedar Point, or the latter to BGE, etc.
They're all trying to be different entities. For what it is attempting to be, Cedar Point probably does the best job overall, IMO.

^^You can't say that WDW is the best park, though. It's just the complex. There are four parks within WDW, so you have to split them up.
I have been to theese parks in my life:
- cedar point (duh)
- SF Great adventure (before KK)
- SF great america
- SF Kentucky kingdom (before girl foot accident)
- SF WOA as GL in the 90's and CF's new GL
- Sea world as a kid and WWkingdom
- Kennywood
-Kings island twice 2001 and 2007 and Boomerang bay
-Story book forest as a kid
- Dorney park (before Hydra)
- Disney world, Universal studios as a young teen
- IX indoor am. park (it's a Cleveland thing!) :)
Cedar point is still my favorite park because of location, rides, and atmosphere all around!
Why should I view WDW as a complex? Every time I go there I go to all of those parks, some in the same day. There is no way I could seperate them, in my mind I go to WDW not the MK, Epcot, MGM (will always be MGM,) AK, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. When I go to CP more often then not I end up at Soak City too. The same thing with Universal, Ive never spent a day at either of those parks and not gone to the other one.
I actually feel the same way about WDW. I always stay on property, even though it costs a little more. I also get the Park Hopper Plus (at least that is what it was called on my last visit). This allows us to hit any of the four main parks and the two water parks all day long. The resort transportation within in WDW is good in my opinion and I never had a problem spending the early day in the a waterpark, get back to the resort and spend the evening in Studios, Magic or Epcot for the evening extra hour times.
I'm just saying, when the rankings come out, each park is rated separately. When I was a kid and we used to go to Disney we always got the Park Hopper Passes, as well. But technically, they're all different parks. It would be like if four Cedar Fair parks were all located within a couple miles of each other.
I do see were you are coming from.
Walt just did such a good job on his vision and purchase down there that I love to give that place a little extra props. :) AKL is honestly one of my better hotel experiences for the dollar.
Yeah the Animal Kingdom Lodge is outrageously awesome. All the hotels down there are. They just go all out on everything.
I have been to Cedar Point, SFWoA, Universal Studios, Universal Islands of Adventures, and Disney World. Cedar Point ranks top in my book. While the other parks are pretty nice too, my obsession resides with CP. It is the only park I actually go to a forum to talk about. :)
"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"
I think at some point the ever declining level of customer service at CP is going to catch up with them enough to affect their standing for this award. But as long as the voters are primarily looking at the coaster lineup, I think CP is safe for a while.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
^ I agree with that. The only time I get ticked off at CP is when I am trying to order food or pop. It always seems that the person behind the counter is foreign. I have nothing against foreigners. I just wish that the person I am giving my money to could understand what I am saying. The lines never seem to run smoothly eathier. It can upset me pretty quick when I am anxious to go ride some coasters.
