Do You See What I See?

Same with the base of the supports. No one else makes supports with that style base.

Ok. Didn't know the track was company specfic like that. Appreciated. And add 8 more inversions to the 2 we already know about, then we have are final product!

Just My 2 Cents...

Goodbye MrScott

John

Why only tie the record with 10? If they are going for an inversion record I am sure they would want to beat it.

From my understanding, Kinzel isn't a big fan of inversions just for the sake of inversions, as would (likely) be the case with a record breaker.

I don't think they're looking to really break any records at all.

Actually, they may break their own record for the best skyline of any amusement park on earth. :-)

Exactly djD, I´m very convinced that P07 WON´T be breaking the inversion record.

I also find it amusing that many people think it will look exactly like some existing coaster (clone). I´ve read people saying it will be like Colossus, Storm Runner, Speed Monster, Rita - Queen of Speed, Desert Race at Heidepark (which is a Rita-clone) and so on. Isn´t it more likely that this will be a totally NEW design with NEW creative ways of thinking (track layout, features...). I thinks so.... I mean, just look at it already. I´m totally satisfied with what I´m seeing, and I´m certain that noone of us can guess how it´s gonna look in 20-30 days in ANY way (unless it´s been announced by then - hopefully). :)

...it doesn't look like they've done any new construction today. I guess it's raining pretty bad there.

"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"

Leslie, you may have talked too soon. Their is a semi in the camera now with 2 track pieces on it. They look like another corkscrew. That Makes 3 Inversions. Well Possibly.

They are working, we just can't see it.

Oh really?! Cool beans!

I thought they were on strike! :-) It seems as if they've been working non-stop...

"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"

They have completed the second inversion and part or all of the ground level turn following it today.

I totally agree with the inversion theory...make it 12. i'm also really interested in that port aventura coaster in spain, wondering if that train design might be used. a quad-hearline roll on a wingwalker. wow! so here's the crazy idea of the day...and please note, as a nashville boy, i've not seen the construction yet, only in pictures, but from what i've seen... is it POSSIBLE ... that they could tear down mean streak late season & expand maverick's footprint? i know, i know...not gonna happen...but is it physically possible?? i have to rely on those of you who've actually seen the construction area for more here... i don't personally subscribe to this theory, but i try to look at all possibilities. in my opinion, i'm thinking it's gonna be tight, fast, short, and inverted w/ a new train design. personally the only redeeming thing about mean streak for me is the appearance. it's a great looking piece of art but a total beat-your-ass ride. i've had car accidents that i walked away from feeling better.

Don't let up on the lovin'

MS is going NOwhere, but I do agree that this ride is gonna be built outside of the construction site that we all see now.

Ride-on

Its possible for them to tear down Mean Streak and expand into that site, yes. Its also possible for them to tear down the entire park and just build one new coaster. But, are they going to? Most likely no. :)

Anything is possible. The better question is, what's probable.

I would say the same applies to your "inversion theory." If you look at the footings that are on-site, its not likely there will be more than 4-5 inversions total. Granted if they tear down Mean Streak or the rest of the park, they could then put in the 12 inversions. :)

I agree, Rip, unfortunately. Would love it if MS was a little less Mean. Sounds like some of posts I've read on this website about other people's posts.

If you were a roller coaster, what would you be called?

I'm a wildcat.

I smell a barrell roll coming. Twisted flat track is on site. The third inversion might go up soon.

Tear down the park? Now that's an idea...

point taken, hall...so what about the wingwalker idea?

Don't let up on the lovin'

Capture71,

When you get off of the Mean Streak, doesn't it feel like you were in a fight & lost?! I always wait for my friends to go on/ get off of it whenever we go.

BTW: Gas prices have gone down! Time to go! LOL

I would be...probably The Wildcat as well. Start off slow & then gets a little feisty, but fun! ;-)

LOOK AT THE WEB CAM NOW! They're delivering more track to the site.

Do you guys see that very flat piece of twisted track on there?
