If anyone has ever Storm Runner at HersheyPark they can almost pick that this is what this is same design
wich is a launch like dragster with a 90 degree incline with a 90 degree drop down with some flips and turns. This is going to be an amazing ride if it makes it to Cedar Point. Lets hope it is what i hope it is

I meant to ask before: How do we know where the beginning & end is on this ride so far? It's 'zigzagging' all over the place already- which really doesn't give a definite beginning or end. Although, it would be a good end to this ride....
I'm not positive if you mean the actual beginning/end of the entire ride (direction of the station) or if you mean the beginning/end of the ride built thus far. So, I'm not sure if this answers your question at all, but here goes nothing. I think we can safely determine the direction of travel of the ride thus far. I mentioned this in another thread yesterday (This is Maverick, I believe). Based on pictures I looked at from other Intamin coaster construction at the park: You will notice with Intamin track, there are "male" and "female" ends to the track pieces, in particular, the rails.

The "male" end of those track pieces are always pointing in the direction of travel, shown here with MF and TTD.

Based on this, I'm almost positive we will be going through layout thus far as ??-esses-hill-inversion-inversion-??.
Little Leslie, I don't know if that answers exactly what you were asking, but I hope it helps a bit.

When I first saw the Track being layed out, i thought it kinda looked this

(When you get in the main page, go under ride's, and click thrill and mega coasters
then, on the left hand side, click ten looping coaster)
Thats what i thought this ride was going to be...

SkitZo, that is an excellent find! I'm impressed. I think that would be an AMAZING coaster in my opinion, and no that I've seen that maybe it could be! If it can't be please some let me know so I don't get my hopes up, b/c that looks INTENSE!

I really hope that there WONT be a series of heartline rolls ala Colossus. If you´ve ridden it, you´ll know what I mean. That coaster sucks.

That's a Vekoma, this is an Intamin. While I do see this as likely being a launched multi-looper, the layout is already nowhere close to what is pictured on Vekoma's site. No series of S-curves, the airtime hill is much smaller, the corkscrews are in a straight line instead of having a 180 degree turn between them.

Hey All - The more and more I think about this, and now that inversions are popping up left and right - How many of you think that row of supports is for a nice long line of zero-G Rolls, just like on Colossus??Maverick:

http://www.rcdb.com/ig1412.htm?picture=19Notice the positioning of the supports, and the angles of the lower ones... Can't you almost "see" the track being swirled around??

Better angle of the screamscape pic.

As of now we can pretty easily get the general "course" of the ride, specific elements, and announcement are all that's left. :)
I just remembered that I'm absent minded
Wait, I mean I've lost my mind, I can't find it

If you were referring to my post; Colossus (Thorpe park) with it´s 4 heartline rolls in a row IS an Intamin. And a pretty lousy one. :) But I don´t think maverick will be like that at all. Not at all. It already looks too unique, and I think it will continue to stay that way.

^ Nah, I was referring to SkitZo's post on the previous page that they've been discussing:

k, just to clear things up....
When they put the footer's down i THOUGHT it was that coaster....
And now that i look at the track, and layout, i know it wont look like that.
also, it STILL could be vekoma, like look at this track
http://rcdb.com/ig2389.htm?picture=47
Now look at P07
http://pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=5354
Just add a triangle at the bottom of the track, and they look the same...
Its just an observation, so dont judge me...

Yes, EE is Vekoma. rcdb link
P2007 though is an Intamin. Note: this is not opinion but fact.
Goodbye MrScott
John
How do we know that P2007 is an intamin. I guess I missed that somewhere. I am being serious. I mean I hear everyone saying it, but where was the proof of that? Just asking.
TC 2004. Let the fun begin.
Thunder Canyon 2003/TTD 2003
Because ALL the track is Intamin. No other manufacturer makes track in that shape. Like John said, that's fact, not opinion.
The track.
It is Intamin 3 rail (triangle) track. Vekoma or B&M wouldn't have a bunch of Intamin track dropped off at Cedar Point if they were building the coaster. Not to mention they wouldn't be installing it either.
What we know so far (for sure) is that it is an Intamin coaster with red track, tan supports and 2 inversions. That's all, the rest is all conjecture.
Goodbye MrScott
