I took a peek in the Woodstock Express booth, and they actually show your ride video in the booth, though I'm not sure about the Raptor location, as I didn't even ride it this weekend.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
I got suckered in and bought it. The part where I am being shown is awesome and looks great, but they constantly revert to other rides and places that I've never seen and definately isn't Cedar Point.
Just give me the footage of myself on the ride without all that other trash and itd be great.

Hmm..I'm sure it would be much better if it was on Blu-Ray now that most of us are spoiled with the quality of HD. I'm sure the video transmission is low (320x240) because of the wireless issue.
Who knows...I'll have to see this myself to make an "informative" opinion.

Indy's back and just in time.
Check your facts, man. "Most of us" are not spoiled with the quality of HD. Blu-Ray and HD-DVD combined are barely a blip on the radar compared to mainstream DVD sales.

Chances are that if either wins (which they won't - see LASERDisc), the adult film industry will simply go with the least expensive medium. Which also relates to WalMart's talks to obtain a "low cost" HD-DVD player for the holiday shopping season. There will probably be a decent volume of HD-DVD/BD players sold this year, but not nearly enough to make this whole "format war" relevant.

That's funny they call Disney a bargain compared to Cedar Point. Using the couple of examples he provided, it does seem that way. LOL!! It will be interesting to see if Cedar Point puts any pressure on the DVD vendor to at least use stock footage from Cedar Point. With as many videos Cedar Point has on their website alone, it seems like a no brainer to include REAL footage of coasters on this DVD. It sure looks like they dropped the ball on this one.
Thankfully I won't be wasting any money on that this summer.

What's really funny is the price they quoted for a ticket to Disney. It's only -that- cheap if you buy a week long pass. Every additional day you purchase, the price gets knocked down. It's only like $.80 more to get a 10 day pass than a 9 day pass over all. But a single day pass for 1 adult is $64.00, and 1 kid is $54. Then there's transportation, and staying in the hotels, or renting a car to drive back and forth from an "off world" hotel (cause, unlike CP, they don't sit 2 miles down the road from every major hotel chain- they sit 15-20 miles away, easily).
I'm guessing if the prices at Disney didn't bother her, they have enough money in the bank that CP wouldn't, either.
There is a good point, though, amusement parks DO rip people off- it's how they make money to provide the rides they make, and still pay all the employees, and what not. And yeah, I hate the thought of paying $8 per person for 3 chicken fingers and some fries, then still having to pay $3-4 per person for a drink for each meal.
So, I don't, pretty much. We eat one meal in the park, as cheaply as possible. We eat the rest of our meals in our room, because getting out of the sun and away from the crowds isn't bad for us.
We drink a lot of water through out the day, and if we choose to do a service counter for our meal, we share one of those insanely large soda's between 2 people. Heck, even then, we hardly finish them.
There are ways to cut costs, easily.
In this instance, however, I would love to see Cedar Point actually take over the making of on this idea. I think they would do MUCH better, given the chance, but I have a feeling they are locked into a contract with the company that produces them, and while we may not buy them, the general public is going to think it's awesome to see, and sadly, these DVD's will sell enough to warrent seeing them added to other coasters over the next few years.
Looking forward to Cedar Point- July 4th-5th, 2007!
