I don't deny that people ride it. Heck, people ride It's A Small World too.
But, I think the ride has lived out it's usefulness and it's demise in the name of something better would not offend me. Particularly if that something better could serve to highlight the beautiful beachfront...instead of obscure it. (Wicked Twister is a nice looking ride that certainly flaunted it's location.)

No one on this site can say people dont ride it its fact the line is almost always huge but its usaully becuz of weather think inside and shelter. You ride it to one: get out of the rain, or two: to get cooled jus becuz people ride it doesn't mean its likable
I would never deny people ride it either.
What that tells me is that when we do storm the park and tear it down, it should be replaced by an equally fun family medium-level coaster....
Can anyone say Spinner?
That would be fun! Spinning by Lake Erie!

Yes and almost lost my sanity.

101 on Magnum and counting...
lol ^^
Look, the "storage-premise" is not one anyone is arguing. What is so difficult about constructing another cheap steel building to store stuff in? Nothing.

If we Cedar Point junkies really wanted DT torn down and replaced with a new state of the art ride...Ha ha .....Then who "exactly" would we need to get in touch with to get a new ride project started? I mean I realize this is asking way too much but who are the big shots out there that someone could speak to..or at least let know what the People think...Ya know? ...Who are they? Because I am totally willing to speak with this president/owner or company...whoever! and end this DT ride once and for all and maybe start a petition too!...Fun Fun Fun!
I know I might not be able to speak to anyone but I am willing to do what ever it takes to start something...We all only live just once and it take just one to make a difference...though DT is a good starter coaster but ..Tear it Down!!!!!

Yeah, except that disaster transport can't run in a heavy rain.

In all seriousness, what we could do is set up a makeshift table outside the ride with a sign that reads "Donations to replace DT and clean up the beach"...with a glass jar.
Someone, eventually, would notice.
But by the looks of it, no one in management has gotten within 100 yards of that monstrosity in about 5 years, so who knows...you could be out there until October.

That would be great and everything. But I don't think the ride is worth anymore invested money. I don't even enjoy the dark queu.
I go in there because the park doesn't offer enough places for you to be outside and escape the heat, they rather have you burn on the cement.
If it wasn't such a short ride, it might be more fun. It's fun going on with people who have never been on but for me, it doesn't offer much.
Life has it's ups and downs, might as well make it on a coaster!
