Disaster Transport new Theme Idea!

I could almost Imagine Perfectly if Cedar Fair could change Disaster Transport theming into the "Transformers" Autobots VS the Decepticons...Sounds Perfect to me!
I know the discussion with DT is old now BUT...this is so very Excellent! And the Transformers movie made huge sums of money...I think this could work and bring new life to DT.

I don't think Cedar Fair owns the rights to be able to do that.

They certainly don't, and even if they did it would never happen. This isn't Universal Studios.

But if they can't keep simple theming together how are they going to keep a movie theme going?

Ok, I rode DT on 7/20 for the first time in years and the ride was sooo much better than people described, the theming was fine! Every part of the line had some sort of theming, the ride was more fun than expected, had little theming during the ride, but honestly I thought it was fun riding in the complete dark, and it was cool how the lift was lit up.

They hardley spend the money to keep the ride up let alone improve it. I have a feeling that this ride will get axed the moment P&D gets the budget to do something better with the real estate.

It doesn't have the right theme untill a new ride is in its place.

Which ride is more hated DT or MS?

^ Neither actually, just take a look at the ridership numbers from last year. Surprisingly DT moves a fair number of people.

It's also insanely short.

That area has the POTENTIAL to be one of the most beautiful spots on the peninsula. The building is just an ugly obstacle to that potential.

I'd love to see a beachside woodie twister with a scaled back superstructure that would allow for views of the water.

^That would look so much better. It would give that boardwalk feel that was mentioned in other threads. Down with DT!

Although my idea won't fix the fact the the DT building is ugly, I always thought it would be cool if a Sally interactive dark ride was installed in the building instead of the queue. That would turn DT into a two part ride. The dark ride could be some type of battle with the aliens. The unload area for the dark ride could be by the steps leading to the DT loading platform. You go up the stais and "escape" from the aliens on the coaster.

^the queue is the best part of DT... if anything, replace the coaster with the dark ride ;)

^ - the queue is horrible and could easily be replaced. That's the part I hate about the ride, maybe because I remember what it used to be.

CPboy77, I wonder if you have been to a park that has good theming? I guess if you haven't then DT doesn't look so awful.

Now...all you have to do is get a job at Cedar Point, remember this FABULOUS idea, and then work your way up the ranks. I suggest starting in food service...maybe the Gourmet Pretzel stand.

Then, after years of dedicated service, make sure youre in line for a promotion...maybe in marketing. Then, continuously position yourself to just "happen" to run into who ever is CEO after Kinzel...and mention your idea.
