Demon Drop Replacement?

I would *love* to see an awesome CCI or Intamin woodie for DDs' replacement. I'm not really a big fan of MS, so it'd be awesome IMO.

If not that, then please, a giant Huss Top Spin!!!!

"bulldozing the front gate" won't improve profits. It won't happen anytime soon.

I know they'll never bulldoze the gate. But yes, I was saying they should tear it ALL out. The ticket boots look nicer than the actual turnstiles for the park. That whole thing looks like a prison entrance. And its stuck in the BAD 70s, not the cool retro 70s. LOL!!

Updating the front gate doesn't increase profits directly, but I would argue it does indirectly. I think it affects profits the same way landscaping, cleanliness and maintenance of the park does. If guests feel the park is poorly maintained, they are less likely to return. (Ala Geauga Lake.) Granted, the hardcore CP fans will ALWAYS return, but there's always new guests to impress and try to entice to return.

halltd,

EVERYWHERE there is cost cutting going on. Cedar Point is no exception.

There is no way they are going to update the front gate anytime soon, IMO.

I know they're not going to update it. They're not going to put a woodie out onto the beach starting at Demon Drop either. Doesn't mean we can't say what we would LIKE them to do. :)

We could see them build it close to the beach. Demon Drop where it sits is not on sand, it's on soil. They could still build a wooden coaster in there, but they would have to build like a parking deck for the employees, because I'm sure it would take a lot of their parking.

Demon Drop is on sand too. The entire peninsula is sand. Did you miss the excavation pictures of Maverick? You dig enough below the topsoil and you hit sand.

If anything was going to change for employee parking, they'd have all of them patk off-point in the housing for the dorms. there's PLENTY of room there.

If they made a wooden coaster like in my design, all theyd have to do is build spaces in the supports big enough for cars to pass through.

They do the same thing on Blue Streak.

I'm not kidding. Something like that SURELY would have floated along the midways between staffers or CP regs.
