Well the prediction for 4 new coasters is RIDICULOUS. Dueling TA2K's, a woodie, and a kiddy coaster? Not likely. I would be VERY surprised if Cedar Point invested in one, let alone two TA2K's. I see the wooden coaster, because that is the next logical step. Sure the park does need a good steel sit-down looper, but they have plenty of steel coasters. They lack greatly in the woody department.
I don't see a kiddy coaster to "beef up the coaster count," because, not to start a flame war, but that is a Six Flags move. Besides, who cares if Magic Mountain has one more coaster?!? No one (other than us) in the tri-state area that gives CP most of it's business is going to sit back eating a burger after a long day of coasting at the Point, and say to themselves "Gee, I wish CP had one more coaster than Magic Mountain." Any one who does that needs to be shot.
I do not see the TA2K because, as it has been stated, I also believe it is a 'gimmick' ride. Until additions like longer, more interesting layouts, inversions, and other such things are added to the possibility of the Thrust Air, I will consider it a gimmick ride. (I know, I shouldn't judge it before I've been on it.)
CP currently is in the possession of, zero, count 'em, zero launched rides. I don't see any coming in the VERY near future, but maybe someday.
In conclusion, I almost absolutely know that CP will not receive a Thrust Air 2000. If I am wrong, you can go ahead and rub it in my face, but I suspect I am the one who will be throwing a link at you in 10 months enclosed in a thread titled "So I'm an idiot, huh?"
