Chickie's and Pete's... Overrated?

Does Coasters have a restroom? I haven't seen one there, either.

The example one PB member had, where his child needed to use the restroom during their meal is a great example of potential issues. He had to leave their table of food, only to come back to find their table cleared.

I think folks rightfully have certain expectations when it comes to sit down restaurants. And you're right that this isn't your average suburban mall eatery - it's more expensive. So I'd expect the same level of service at the very least.

Chick-Fil-A and Coasters are not table service restaurants. You order your food and then you take it wherever you want.

If you order food at Chickie's and Pete's, you are sitting at a table in their restaurant and someone brings it to you. If you are stuck waiting and eating in one place, it is common courtesy to have a restroom available for use on the premises.

When did the conversation go from a "sit down" restaurant to a "table service" restaurant?

I can't believe that bathroom issue is so bad with people... I mean, there are two large bathrooms nearby (by Raptor and under the arcade) a whole minute walk away from the place.

People are just really lazy, I suppose.

Steve, Love your park photos (think I saw you on Dino island on Opening Day) but ...I will refer you to this thread:
http://pointbuzz.com/Forums/Thread/30829.aspx
since I see that you didn't participate in it originally.
Those "walks" are over a minute away especially with little ones.
**If you're a drinker, read example #2; or better yet, just read example #4 especially and tell me if you'd be glad to be on the receiving end of it. If the park didn't feel as though it wasn't a problem (and didn't hear continual moaning about it from their guests), then I don't think they'd be trying to fix it now. BTW, that restaurant (C&P's) was a ghost town July 2nd evening when I was last there. People vote with their wallets, which I will continue to do until the situation is remedied.

It's an environmental issue. If they offer a place to drink beer, I need a place to recycle it.

"Sit down" was being used synonymously for "table service". Coaster's and Chick-fil-A are "quick service" otherwise known as "fast food". And, Coaster's actually does have a restroom in the restaurant.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I think it does. I'm picturing it on the right side of the restaurant towards the back right corner, although it's on the left side of that corner towards the kitchen, if that makes any sense...unless I'm thinking of the one at Coasters at MIA.

Remind me not to sit next to you at Bubbles!

Coco has it right, that is exactly where it is at.

It was a serious question about the bathrooms. I've been in there twice this year but never noticed them. I wasn't in desperate need, though. Thanks. :)

Anyway, I am also of the belief that C&P should have a restroom. If the problem really was a queue of people, maybe they should just pull some tables and replace them with queue railing. ;)

And don't forget to make a Fast Lane for the bathroom.

Nah, they'll start it off like TTD when they first introduced FastLane. They will dedicate one entire bathroom to FastLane, cutting capacity in half for the regular line. SMH.

On the plus side, there will be a 10% Platinum Passholder discount and it can be added to your dining bill.

Better than starting it out like they did TTD: The bathrooms would be down for repairs over 1/2 the time :)

I was at a concert in Pittsburgh a few weekends ago, and they had a Chickie's and Pete's crab fries stand. I don't care what anyone else says about them, I gladly paid $14 for them because they're freaking delicious.

I'm pretty much in love with Old Bay/similar seasonings these days.

You need to explore your local Penzey's. It will open you to a new world of flavor.

Ooh. 250+ different spices? I'm sold.

If you like hot, check out the Berbere and the hot curry. Actually all of their Indian stuff is pretty good, including the Rogan Josh and yellow curry. Mural of Flavor is a fantastic salt substitute.

I see they're in the West Side Market. May just have to drop in to check it out.

BIG NEWS... Bathrooms have been reopened!

I'm here with my 3 year old, and of course he says "I gotta go to the bathroom." So, I gathered all my belongings and mentally prepared for my crab fries to be cold upon my return. I figured I'd check anyway and lo and behold, they were open!

The server claimed the complaints were just too numerous and they decided to reopen them.
