Chick-Fil-A Building

Funny because I'll be paying a visit there tomorrow. I shall always remember the day I found one close to home. :)

I'll let everyone debate CFA while I continue to enjoy my Panda Express!

I wish you could find a way to enjoy the Panda without sharing the stench with me. I hate the smell from that place. Apparently my nose finds the aroma of roasted dog to be quite unpleasant:)

Pandas aren't dogs, they're bears. :)

Its just one way to fix the overfilling animal shelters. ;)

Shades, they serve cat also! But truthfully, I absolutely LOVE the smell of Panda Express while waiting in line for MF.

I have to agree with djDaemon as well, I don't see the big deal about Five Guys. It's way too greasy for my liking. I'm still in favor of the Chipotle if CFA really is leaving.

How about a lake fish place? Perch/walleye/hush puppies. Something like the Jolly Roger in Port Clinton.

Not a fan of Panda Express but the smell always sends me to Andy's China Dragon after the park closes. Andy is bat**** crazy and the food is good.

They should add a Mrs. Knott's chicken restaurant. It is supposed to be very good. I liked the grilled chicken sandwiches at Chick-Fil-A but their policies turn me off . I don't believe in boycotts but I just know no more of my hard earned dollars will be spent at Chick-Fil-A.

The leper from watts just stated what I have wanted at CP for years. A place dedicated to serving fresh fried/baked, etc. local seafood (i.e., perch) in all its wonderful variations.

It makes too much sense.

Oddly enough, they have a place for that already, in Frontiertown right across from the Antique Cars. Ever wonder why it's called "The Cats Cafe"?

I agree Kevin J. It makes sense. It fits. It's local. It's fresh. Why on Earth would Cedar Fair do something that made sense with their food and beverage division? I bartended at Fridays at CP in 2009 and the place was an absolute train wreck (I actually wrote a screenplay about my summer there it was so effed up).

They should be able to feature local eats in all of their parks and perhaps spread them throughout the country if they are a big enough of a hit. I liked the addition of Pink's for a variety of reasons. Maybe they could have some of Cleveland and Detroit's more well known restaurants or even make quality versions of their own. How about a B Spot? It would be expensive at the park though. Hot Sauce Williams? There are many ideas and opportunities for them to improve their catering. They absolutely should be able to have a fresh fish place. It would be cost effective, good, possibly healthy if they had a steamer for the fish also. I have faith that Frenchy will do a better job than Kinzel with the food and hospitality divisions.

I'll never understand the lack of a National Coney Island at CP. It's got an very high level of local familiarity, as well as cheap-to-produce dishes that lend themselves well to quick service (for a sit-down restaurant).

Brandon

What about a Tony Packos location at CP? That would have made more sense than Pinks and would have been a big hit.

I'm not crazy about most of their food, but there's no denying people love it. And to be able to enjoy it at CP instead of the h*11hole that is Toledo would be a nice change.

I had never heard of it until reading your post and googling it 60 seconds ago. :)

I'd be willing to bet far more Ohioans have heard of National than have heard of Pink's. :)

Brandon

I had never heard of Pinks until I saw mention here the CP had one or National Coney Island until your post today.

Still, given that a significant chunk of CP's guests are from Metro Detroit, I'd say brand recognition at CP for National would be much higher than for Pink's.

I'd love a B Spot at the Point, and Michael Symon would probably be receptive to that idea since he has opened locations at Quicken Loans Arena, Browns Stadium and Horseshoe Casino.

For what it's worth, I've never heard of any of those, and first heard of Pinks when CP got it.

But does that matter? If it's good quality, I'll give it a try.
