Too bad Rick Moranis hasn't been able to bring his career back to existence.

After the "Honey..." movies, Moranis had enough cash to live comfortably raising his kids without ever working another day, and he chose to do exactly that.
Brandon
He hasn't tried to. He retired to spend more time with his kids after his wife died.
The only thing I want to see him out of retirement for is to resurrect Dark Helmet.

Moranis and Thomas did a pseudo McKenzie Brothers reunion with the Brother Bear films. Quite funny.

I'm tired of intelligent people engaging in this "conversation" without any consideration that openly debating the validity of someone else's love could be offensive. And god forbid that any gay person invokes his or her faith openly. That's the ultimate offense I guess. That's what I'm talking about Jeff. You. The host of this. Just because the government and the media says it's the thing to do now doesn't make it morally alright. And personally I think it makes Jesus mad. So there.
I would just like to enjoy roller coasters now. Leave us alone.
Steven john, I'm a bit confused. Are you in favor of marriage equality for gays or against? because your post starts off sounding sarcastic one direction, then seems to flip and is sarcastic in support of the opposite argument.

I never thought the day would come where there would be a post that would make even Mike doubt its seriousness. It's truly the end of times!
Also, just what IS the Government and media saying is the "thing to do" Steve?

What in particular do you think "makes Jesus mad"? Jeff, your opinion that "government and media says it's the thing to do", or gay marriage? Because I'm pretty sure none of those things are "making Jesus mad"...

Well Steven John, when you can point to a part where Jesus condemned homosexuals, then maybe your personal beliefs may be based in fact.
But the true fact is, he embraced the outcasts and "sinners" and actually condemned those who would use religion to treat others as less than equals or deserving of compassion.

I'm for marriage equality but I have a distaste for the way they are going about it. My godparents are gay and they saw no need for marriage, together 35 years. I'm gay, I came out 20 years ago when I was a kid and never once encountered a problem with anyone... not a family member, friend, coworker, casual acquaintance or even at church or the the gym. Now, only in the last few months I've had nothing but harassment and conjecture at every turn. Mostly on T.V.,Radio and online but that's pretty omnipresent stuff. Not every gay kid has the role models I was lucky enough to have. But we should hang our heads shamefully and get to ensuring equal treatment and opportunity not give a megaphone to exhaust whatever we can find of homophobia. It's crass to say the least. If a kid looks out into his or her future there should be no question that he or she can live a good life and be recognized as a full citizen even if there are no current visible role models for them in their immediate life. Questioning the legitimacy of others and saying it's perfectly alright for the entire population to debate someone's validity serves a clear social purpose in my opinion and I don't believe I'm the only one capable of seeing that. Thats the best I can explain it.
If your TV is harassing you, there really isn't anything more to be said. I can't even understand what your position is on anything.

Who is the they you are talking about? Other gay people?

Super. Guess what? Many heterosexual couples see no need for marriage either. I'm not even sure what your point is here, but millions of gay individuals do indeed see a need for it, just like us heteros, and I think they deserve that right.

Consider yourself damn lucky. Do you realize that 9 out of 10 gay individuals experience extremely bad...and I mean bad...reactions from their own parents? I'm not sure what bubble you grew up in, but you are one lucky, lucky person.
But we should hang our heads shamefully and get to ensuring equal treatment and opportunity not give a megaphone to exhaust whatever we can find of homophobia.
Why should gay people hang their heads shamefully?
Seriously, either I am entirely missing the point of your post, or I find your perspective entirely mystifying. :)

Nah, that's still three months away.

When I say they, I'm referring to the state of MN first and then the federal government. They are calling for a popular vote regarding gay couples this year in MN. So when we receive equal rights it will be thought of by this generation as a privilege granted by the masses and not because of our inherent equal worth.
To answer a couple questions…
Yes, the T.V. try to imagine it for yourself.
I"m not lucky. Out of dozens of gay friends over the years I know of 2 individuals that have encountered difficulty when coming out.
What is it about you guys that makes you get off on something like this?
