After coming back from a Sunday trip to Cedar Point, I have noticed that some rides don't deserve the credit that have. For example, Chaos is a GREAT ride with all its flips and spins its great plus its got no line. I never anyone talk about or mention Chaos.
Another ride that doesn't get its props is Wildcat. Even though its a carnival ride, it is the smoothest coaster in the park. I say this because for as much as I like Millennium Force, it pulls just enough g's at the bottom of the drop to shake your body.
Anyways could you think of any other rides that deserve some credit?
quote from Mean Streak operator, "Welcome to Mean Streak. It's so mean it'll rip the heads off your Barbie dolls and steal your lunch money!!!"
I disagree with your two (which is why I suspect its "underestimated" because unlike MF not everyone agrees with your assesment) because Chaos, while being a great ride, breaks down every time I try to ride it (literally) and Wildcat, is not that thrilling in my book.
But for my choices Ill go with the Troika (love that ride,) Calypso, and the Tilt a Whirl.
For me its those motorcycles you ride around in circles. About 30 times on that ride and I feel like I've really accomplished something in life.
Cedar Downs, while not a thrill ride by any measure is great. It's a classic, almost 100 years old and one of only a very few of it's type that survives. It goes pretty fast once it kicks in. I hope they keep this gem forever.
This is what makes CP a great place; there are what, 70 rides now? (give or take). There are certainly some "oldies but goodies" with no lines to speak of, and we all have our favorites.
I like a spin on Cedar Downs and a ride on the Pirate Ship now and then myself.
Promoter of fog.
Chaos worries me to the point where I won't ride it. Plus it really just makes me ill.
Wildcat is ok, and I find it more exciting than Millennium Force.
I'm not just saying this because I work there, but Mantis has become a favorite of mine this year. Mantis is really a ride you have to learn how to ride before you should make any judgments on it. I'm not much of a fan of the second half of the ride, but every part from the drop off the lift to the mid-course is fantastic. People don't give it much credit.

^ - I'd agree with that if it weren't for the first hill trims. Unless there is a structural reason for it, it should not be on with only 1 or 2 trains on the track. If there is a structural reason, Claude should be punched.

I'd agree with Chaos and Wildcat. If it's a slow day at the park I try to ride all of those rides I usually skip when it's busy.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Yesterday was super busy. It was busy for me anyways. I tend to go on really slow days.
I like Wildcat but I do not find the line moves and therefore the wait is unbearble. They tend to only half load many cars. If you are a group of 2 they will send you in the front and leave the back empty instead of putting 2 more in the back. A small line can last forever.
Chaos was my favorite ride in the park 10 years ago. I still like it but also do not entirely trust it.
I abhor Mantis, find it more painful than anything,.
My fav ride which I would give up all others for is Wicked Twister and it is somewhere in the middle of popularity.
Small rides I spend time on during long lines for big ones are Blue streak, mean streak, tilt a whirl and calypso.
I miss White Water Landing.
I'm going out to get some air.
Chaos is fun, except for beating the crap out of my shoulders. That's a ride-once-a-year at best for me.
Witches' Wheel is like warm smooth butter.
I gotta go with Troika. Just the right combination of excitement and relaxation. Especially after dark with the breeze blowing in off the lake.

Mike - I will never ride Troika again. The first time I rode it was at Halloweekends a few years ago, and the op looked like he should have been in CarnEvil....except he didn't have any makeup on. Needless to say his small hands, aura of cabbage and the barely locking restraint were enough to make me not ride it again.
(Before anyone says anything, I know the restraint was locked, but the little bit of play in it was a bit disconcerting. Add to that the Carny running the ride, and I won't ride it again.)

Chaos is a really fun ride and I also love the little to nonexistent line on most days. Some rides on it are very exciting but you can also get rides where your car doesn't flip hardly at all. It's kinda fun trying to get a "good car", regardless of whether that actually has anything to do with it. I've also discovered Mantis to be a lot better than other people say it is.
TedFuzz. No longer manually signing posts. Too bad. =(

Outstanding ref. to a great movie!I pick Wicked Twister as the top under-rated ride. On another note I think that the wave swinger is the most terrorfying ride in the whole park.
im a freak for cp
Ripcord and Skyscraper. :)
You would really be surprised at how many people tell us those two rides are the best rides at the park after they've ridden.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Disaster Transport is really underestimated its not an amazing ride, but it is really fun to ride with the family.
