The point will be getting a B&M for 2013. This will be placed near the front of the park in some of the space left over from the demon drop removal. The merchandise warehouse is being moved to another location and possibly a piece of the employee parking area may come into play as well. Rumor is that this coaster will wrap around space spiral in some way, but nothing confirmed. My guess for style of coaster is like the new winged coaster at Six Flags Great America in Chicago, or possibly some new concept not yet seen from B&M.

...Except this gift doesn't get opened untill May of 2013, if CP even gets a coaster.
Also based on past projects, we probably won't be able to "play" with the new gift until late June/early July.

I'd be excited to even see the live e get extensively changed this year and some impressive new things. Like the end of the night show getting highly revamped would make my day. American Portrait just disappointed me so much. With Ouimet from Disney, that park always have spectacular end of the night show in their park. If that could get brought to the park I'd be very impressed. A few small fireworks, lights, a Windows Movie Maker slideshow, and God Bless America for the 2nd time of the day...it can just go away haha...I will even say Kings Island's end of the day shows are much more impressive than CP
I couldn't have said that better myself! American Portrait was AWFUL! Hot Summer Lights was amazing with the fireworks and the fire water effects were mind blowing as they lit up and heated up the entire Iron Dragon midway. If they really want to bring in more "cool" family attractions, they definitely need to start with the night time show and bring the fire water back!
I was excited to see the American Portrait show this year and I made sure I closed at SkyRide West my first day working there just to watch the show and I was appalled! As for that God Bless America, what were they thinking? It has got to go!

Yeah, and they're also going to take out the security watch tower since they don't use it, and the new coaster is gonna go under the parking lot, swoop above ground into a crazy new B&M element where the watch tower once stood, then back down under the parking lot again! ;)

In fact, it's my increasing suspicion over the years that a requisite percentage of random markings in the park are put there solely to mess with enthusiasts' heads. ;)

That's the most plausible idea for a coaster I have ever heard.........now excuse me, I have the sudden urge to get a lemon flavored drink.

For some reason I feel like CP is going to shock all of us and build a brand new themed section! It will include a coaster, new shops, restraunts, bathrooms, etc... Have no clue where they will put it, but I think we will all be suprised and be like... hmm I didn't think anything could fit in that space?!?!
I still think Cedar Point could use some general improvements before a new coaster, although sometimes those come together.

That would be amazing. If they did this and added something nice to Valleyfair (NOT A WINDSEEKER), 2013 would be a great year.

Isn't the world supposed to end this year anyway?!?! So technically, we shouldn't even be talking about CP 2013 and we should create 2 new topics, Heaven 2013 and Hell 2013!!!

I would like to see a B&M wing coaster in the place of DT.
I just feel like these winged coasters are like floorless coasters... I don't think they are any different. I have been on Griffon a million times on the outer most seats, and yes, there is a little different experience... But not enough of a WOW factor to spend $25 million... Hopefully we will see B&M's version of a 4D coaster in 2013! Take out DT, Corkscrew, or Wildcat... Those three gotta go... If Corkscrew and Wildcat are gone... You can build a major coaster in their place and crosses over the walkway!
^ I don't think Corkscrew or WildCat will go anywhere anytime soon. Corkscrew is unique in that it runs right over the midway and to tear that down and rebuild something there will take a lot with the path there. As for WildCat, the footprint is so small that it won't do any good.
I honestly don't think Disaster Transport will go anywhere. I think we may see some rethemeing under Ouimet, but I think it will stay as kids seem to enjoy the "dark" aspect of it and ridership on it isn't really suffering in any major way.
As for the new coaster, I think it'll be a B&M.
-Rumors are floating around from sources that B&M will return to the Point with a 2013 coaster.
-Walter Bolliger gave a speech at CoasterMania 2010...could this have been a precursor?
As for location, I don't think it'll go back by Raptor & Blue Streak. I think that spot will be reserved for the future. This coaster would more than likely go over by Disaster Transport in the Employee Lot and we may see that maintenance building go bye-bye.
CP also needs a great wooden coaster, i wouldn't mind if they also sacrificed Mean Streak in the process.
The way Cedar Fair deals with wooden coasters, I do not want CP getting one. In 5 years it'll just be a mess
