The way Cedar Fair deals with wooden coasters,
I little overstated. Have you been on the oldest roller coaster at Cedar Point?
And I would argue Mean Streak is about as well-maintained as possible; its flaws have nothing to do with maintenance.

Yes Blue Streak is one of my favorites. It was a bit over stated I just don't really care for a new wooden coaster at the point. I think their great thought. My family can't stand wooden coasters that really bounce you around and I enjoy that. I'm the only one that will ride beast more than once in a row. I do have a pretty young body that can handle the bouncing around more compared to the rest of my family. I rode Thunder Road at Carowinds 8 times in a row this summer and if any of you have been on it, you know it really packs a punch. I just don't feel that's what Cedar Point needs at this time.
I really feel its about time for a new B&M. Hoping for their first 4th dimension.

I would love to see a wing rider but the more and more I think about it, a dove coaster would be the best fit for CP in my opinion. It seems to me like they dont need as big a footprint as a wing rider.
Wouldn't a dove coaster be the same as a wing coaster. ;)

You are probably still feeling that now...once was enough for me. I would also caution you that the new wooden coasters are nothing like their old counterparts. GCI's stuff can be really smooth and I hear woodies with the new Timberliner trains are even moreso though I havent ridden one myself yet.
I really hope CP brings the thunder next year with a new major roller coaster! After looking at pics of Shambhala (Might be the sexiest roller coaster I have ever seen), Leviathan, Wild Eagle, and Skyrush... CP has to be coming out with something better!
I saw that, it looks very sexy. I love the light green.

I say get a new intamin giga coaster running alongside millennium force, and slap the train on in reverse. lol
Well one thing I do have to say, if that green track is for a coaster at Cedar Point, I think we can say it won't be located near the turnpike cars. I doubt they would put two green coasters right next to each other so I would not be looking for markings near there. Maybe it will be by disaster transport or somewhere near there.

They deffently have a nice lineup of rides, either Great Adventure or Great America will be my next trip. I could see that green track going into Kings Island. I feel a green wing rider would be great for the park, the only thing I have with that is, is there any logic to Kings Island and Cedar Point adding a coaster the same year? I could see it being good because people not from the region will hit both parks in the same trip but it could be bad because they compete. Cedar Point (I'd like to hope) would not get a wing rider if KI did then.

That's the rumor I heard Zach. Though, we all know what rumors are like.

If DK were still in power, the press release would likely read...
New for 2013! Son of the Mean Streak! A totally new (AKA relocated) coaster from Kings Island.
This coaster would be located in a way that part of it passes through (what was) the old employee dorms (idea taken from BG). And it features new 4D trains which is a first for wooden coasters (since everyone wants something totally new and the SOB's trains were painful to start with).
Seriously though, if Six Flags has success adding a drop tower to Superman at Magic Mountain... There is a strong argument to extend the use of that 400 foot tower to other uses - especially when Dragster is down due to issues.
What I have always thought would be a totally cool idea would be to build a coaster that would circle the park - even the parking area! It would have tremendous capacity due to it's length, could interact with virtually everything else, and would be a signature of the park that could never be copied or duplicated.
