I don't know, I've seen the videos of some of the coasters at Six Flags Magic Mountain and honestly they look terrible being plopped down right in the parking lot with no landscape at all. I'm afraid that's what a coaster would look like that interacts with the parking lot.
FYI the Jumbo Jet was set up on the parking lot during it's tenure. The just moved the front fence around it.....
I would think if they did use the parking lot area, it wouldn't have to stay parking lot under/around it. It could easily be excavated and landscaped.

I feel a green wing rider would be great for the park, the only thing I have with that is, is there any logic to Kings Island and Cedar Point adding a coaster the same year? I could see it being good because people not from the region will hit both parks in the same trip but it could be bad because they compete. Cedar Point (I'd like to hope) would not get a wing rider if KI did then.
The money all goes to the same company.

Like Great Adventure. Can you imagine that coaster lineup?
I thought I had read somewhere that they were getting a drop tower like Drop of Doom at SFMM.

Imagine your favorite tv show. You've been through it all. The ups, the downs, the crazy coincidences and then bang! They tell you what it's all about. Would you be happy? Does it make sense? How come it all ended in a church? - Joker

But the post I was responding to wants the coaster to snake around the parking lot I think. I agree with you if they were to remove a section of the parking lot for a coaster
So, Kinzel says there is a major announcement coming...

I missed all the talk a while back about not having two B&M coasters next to each other because of the sound. I seem to remember reading somewere that B&M started filling their tracks with sand to keep down the noise, is this true or just something they were trying on a few coasters. Personally I LOVE the B&M roar always means excitement!

I can and can't say it was good or bad. The Dinosaurs costs $5.00 with everyone. The shouldn't of taking the Paddle well Boat Ride. The older and the younger people liked it and restful Ride like the Train, because the don't ride the Thrill Rides and the Coasters too. Terror Island was a Great Scare Zone, because it was on the ISLAND too.

Talon (at Dorney) and Silver Bullet (at Knott's) are both B&M inverts that are virtually silent. Noise isn't an issue if they don't want it to be.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you

B&M does offer for the box spine to be filled with sand to reduce the roar, a good example I just saw was of a track piece for Swarm that has the holes in it to pour sand in.

Also the sound has to be a non-issue nowadays because Port Aventura did just do this with Shambhala and Khan.

The recent rumor I hear is about a possible wing rider coaster from B&M. Track has been found at the plant in Batavia.

What I have always thought would be a totally cool idea would be to build a coaster that would circle the park - even the parking area! It would have tremendous capacity due to it's length, could interact with virtually everything else, and would be a signature of the park that could never be copied or duplicated.
I would hate that, I would feel surrounded and enclosed.
The only thing I have to say about a Wing Coaster is how can Cedar Point make it unique compared to X-Flight and Wild Eagle which are right around the corner?
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!
I hope it's not a wing rider... They don't look very exciting and it looks like it would have the same sensation as the outermost seat on a floorless. That being said, a B&M 4D coaster concept would be more like it. Who knows, it could be an Intamin 4D coaster concept. Whatever come next, you know that CP is gonna break records with it... They always do!
Definitely more dynamic than a floorless BR. And they don't always break records with their coasters. Unless of course you mean the record for number of coasters.

I rode Wild Eagle and it was ok. Definitely a fun ride.....just nothing mind blowing. Though I don't know how much of that experience will stand up to X-Flight since it seems to have a more dynamic layout. And reviews from the other 2 wing coasters (Swarm and Raptor) suggest it's nothing extremely special. It seems what makes those rides is their themeing, which looks superb.

Popping out of the "frequent reader, seldom poster" woodwork to point out something odd I noticed about the "new" green B&M track pieces.
I was checking out CoasterBuzz to see if anyone had info on the new track and found this topic from 2009 that links to the same pictures at Screamscape: http://coasterbuzz.com/Forums/Thread/55205.aspx
I'm admittedly not a frequenter of CoasterBuzz or Screamscape, so is it possible that when that link was posted on CoasterBuzz, the pictures on the Screamscape page were of different track, and they just reused the URL or something for the green track we're seeing now? Is it even possible to do such a thing? The CB post states the track in the pictures is "sunburst yellow" so that indicates Screamscape might have changed the photos associated with the link.
Or, is it a possibility that Screamscape is reusing a picture from 2009 and pulling the wool over our eyes?
Just thought I'd mention it to see what everyone else thought, then resume my position in the woodwork. :)
