When I was a kid I loved guessing what my Christmas present was going to be. My sister and I did a fair amount of snooping, and once actually found the gift, two weeks ahead. For us it was part of the fun of the season.

To me, that's why I like hearing all the thoughts floating out there. Maybe they're wrong, maybe they're right. It really doesn't matter, since we know the present is coming eventually. But it sure adds to the excitement. I'm enjoying...and thanks, all of you, for helping snoop. Hope Dad doesn't catch us ; )

Yeah, I agree with you Towanda. I find speculation very entertaining. All to often, I find myself reading boring topics like "did anyone notice the new spot of bird crap on Raptor today?" or "guess what!? I got wet on Snake River Falls!"

I know I am enjoying the season so far, and enjoying the speculation as well. Makes for a great summer for me so far...I don't know about the rest of you.

I too was at Timberfest, and it was a lot of fun. M.A. was a cute little park. I really enjoyed myself. Did more riding there than I've done in a whole year at CP. :) I will always like CP more though. I think CP needs to get one of those shooting star rides ASAP. That was FUN.

It was also fun to ride the Dogems in thier new location. Almost forgot I was at M.A. by the time I got off.

Here's hoping that what is replacing dogems at CP will be worth the wait, and the speculation.

I agree. Even those of you who claim to be sick of this topic have envisioned a Hypersonic, or a B&M Flyer or a CCI Woodie, etc. in that spot. I

Just to fix something I said. I asked her if the wooden coaster would go where the fence is and she said no. Also the fact that she was an acer had nothing to do with the fact that she knew the information she knew. She is the main raptor operator. but Because she was and Acer she injoyed telling people about rumors and what she knew about them. And Half the people on coasterbuzz that are talking about this subject are Acers. And the others are most likely members of other clubs. So to Recap There will be two new coasters by 2004 one steel next year. And a wooden coaster the next, but CP may put both of them in for next year. SO in 2003 we will be Ridding a new steel coaster, and a wooden coaster by at least 2004

'Main operator?' I thought they called them Team Leads, hmmmm?

And i'm sure she 'injoyed' telling rumors....as do many people, but you need to know when you're getting your leg pulled. Or for that matter, getting your nose tweaked.

Paul, how can you be so sure of this. Last year a power tower operater told me the park would be getting 4 coasters by 2003. I said "yea, whatever, like that would ever happen". Maybe she wasn't lying to you, but a lot of the employees (sweeps, ride ops, ect.) don't know too much on what the park will be getting in future years. Remember, Cedar Fair isn't filthy rich (I am sure we would all like them to be), but they just added Wicked Twister. Remember, you don't want the park turning into an all coaster no flat ride park. Thats why I have always liked the park so much, they have a great combination of both flat rides and roller coasters. Most parks don't have that. It would be ideal if they got two flat rides for 2003 (one to replace VertiGO and another to replace Dogems) and a roller coaster for 2004.

I'm not starting anything new, just telling what I was told once again...:I asked my one friend if the crazy 425ft. coaster rumor was true(laughing), and he told me it was definetely confirmed. He said they would definetely take out Chaos, and it won't be long, but an Xcellerator type of ride. I still don't believe it, think what you want.

yes I thought of that but when I talked to her she wasn't on duty. She knew the info because she was an imployee but was telling it as a fellow enthusiats. ANd I two was told by a power tower employee last year that they would get three coasters. dut she didn't just tell me right off the back. She told a little bit more information as the conversation went on. And If you were there you could tell she was not lieing. If she was lieing (which I can almost 100% positive that she wasn's)she didn't act like it.

Also Just to repeat myself the employee said that if paddle wheel excursion dosn't do well it will go. And Chaos it right next to paddle wheel. So we have now have confirmation from more that 3 reliable sources about the steel coaster. And we also know CP will get a wooden coastter in the next 2 years which will be great. Because they need another wooden coaster

Can you explain to me how a seasonal employee is reliable when it comes to knowing future plans? They hear the same rumors everyone else hears .... that's it. Will someone believe a rumor that actually ends up being true? Maybe. Does that mean that person got the information from someone "reliable?" No.

I think it was a thread just like this (Person A swears that something is going to happen because Seasonal Employee B said so) that started the legend of the Lemon Chill Guy ...

Why would they take out Chaos? If anything, Chaos will either stay where it is or they will move it to someplace else in the park. I sure hope they don't get rid of Chaos. Really, they can't just start removing all of their flat rides, and Paddlewheel Excursion is a nice relaxing ride.

All I can say is I will believe it when I see it.

well what ever Cp Does with this little plot of land, I'm sure it will be a fun thrill of some sort. I do enjoy reading speculations and wishes some of you have ... The only thing i heard about the mystrious area 51 is .... it will be announced in august whatever it is. I'm just glad they are building something for all of us !

I guess were just making a Big Fuss about Area 51. ;)

Until I see a press release the only thing I'll agree to is that they are going to do something. All of this friend of a friend, uncles cousin's dog told me stuff is wearing thin. The only thing we REALLY know is the are going to do something. I'm not going to put down any seasonal employee information, but.... I'm sure the 5 year plan isn't posted on the break room wall. The list of people in the know is very small. My guess is that someone on here has guessed correctly or does possibly know. How can we tell?

I still think it's a new High Striker game. :)
