"Cedar Point is building for the future!"

Well... she does wear a jacket that says Raptor Girl on the back.

She was at Coaster Mania too. Maybe some of you saw her.

I'll play the guessing game.

A huge flat ride or a new water ride

It certainly doesn't make sense that CP would suddenly build another huge coaster after all of the money spent on MF and WT. It seems to go to pattern with minor attractions being built in the middle year (going by the every other year something huge theory).

A restaurant is possible, but after Johnny Rockets and all it doesnt's seem probable.

I could be completely wrong and it will be the world's largest lamp post. Who knows! :)

Cedar Point's getting a double-twisting Intamin Impulse for the 2002 season. I'm 100% sure on this, an employee informed me of this just the other day. I had no idea!

Its a childerens play area for Camp Snoopy. Like a climbing thing.

End of story.

RIDE IT OUT!

If it was something for Camp Snoopy, I don't think they would go putting up a fence and putting signs on the fence, and I would think they would work on something like that at the moment. For some odd reason, Cedar Point is wanting people to speculate about what's going in there, and they are wanting it to the mystery to spread. I think if it wasn't something along the lines of huge flat ride or coaster, then they wouldn't be asking for speculation. It wouldn't be that big of a deal, and when it is finally announced, they will have tons of people very disappointed because they led them on with the signs. If I remember right, there wasn't really any for VertiGo. What I'm saying is if it was something small like a climbing wall and for 2003 they wouldn't have started on it already, and that area has to be a hard area to work with in the middle of the season anyway because it's on the midway in front of Magnum. There's a lot of foot traffic there during parts of the day.

The footers are not for a kiddie coaster or a restaurant and there are few thrill rides that use round footers. There are some that use four, but why not put all four in at the same time? It could be a new kind of thrill ride we never seen before or a coaster. I think we can rule out the light pole with the fence, sign and there has to be atleast $100,000 worth of concrete for each footer. Like I said theres enough dirt to burry a kiddie coaster, from just two footers.

I doubt that more than ½ of 1% of the population bothers speculating about what's going on in there. Most folks are just happy that the park has what it has and doesn't worry about what's coming next.

Now that having been said, a large percentage of that ½ of 1% post in forums like this, CB and r.r-c.

HONESTLY, kids, please check your posts for spelling errors. I know this isn't school, but how do you expect anyone to come even CLOSE to taking you seriously if you can't spell.

Can we PLEASE add to the list my personal pet peeve. It is "could have", "should have", "would have", not "could of", "should of", "would of".

Actually, that's the subject of a great deal of academic debate. It's not that cut and dry, and I'm not prepared to take a stance on it. ;) The debate centers around the contraction of "have" (which sounds similar to using "of") and its eventual adaptation as one of those millions of "exceptions" to rules we have in the English language.

Can we please add brake to this list. It's "brake" if you are talking about a device to stop something.

I cringe everytime someone writes "and the train hit the breaks before the station"!

I would love to see an new s&s rid ethat would be cool but they just added wicked twister and i don think that they would add a new coaster soo soon they always build them in two years incriments , dont get me wrong though it would be awsome!!!!!
Im wondering where this rumor even started people. So the footers may resemble a thrust airs, so what they could be for any type of ride. As far as 400 or 425 ft, where in the world could a height rumor come from? Its not like the size of those footers is proportional to the height. I really dont see CP putting something this big in, at least not yet.

If you guys are talking about grammar and spelling now, during the summer, it's going to be one hell of a winter this year.

We absolutely must add to this list....

lose and loose!!!

Please people get a clue about this one, this is just sad.

You can lose your keys, not loose them. You can lose a game, not loose it. You can get a screw loose, but not lose.

On the top of my pet peeves list is people going into grammar rants in threads that have nothing to do with them. :-P

------------------
TPFKAV
MF Count - 39
WT Count - 4

Sorry, but it really IS hard to take someone seriously when they are INSISTING they have inside information on a new, upcoming ride, and they can't manage to spell or use proper grammar.
In that case, it DOES have to do with the thread.
