That area is very weak anymore, but that Jr. Gemini was the only reason why the children's area lasted as long as did. At least they found a way to keep it. That was an idea I had for a while, keep it but rename it, and it will look good for a Camp Snoopy remodeling (or Gemini area remodeling in this case). It will be weird calling it Wilderness Run though. Wonder if it will be repainted and where in Camp Snoopy will the entrance be? Again, floor plans made Lolli-Swings into the original concept and a cover at Camp Snoopy Theatre. It isn't going to be a reality is it? Been wanting to go on the one at Kings Island, but it was the theme that I hated (The Last Airbender..sorry) and then when it became Surf Dog, I ran out of juice thanks to The Beast. I guess thanks to Pipe Scream third time's a charm, but I would've put it where the basketball games across of Wicked Twister as part of a Planet Snoopy expansion, but that's just me. Never thought about Lake Erie Eagles though, that's a new idea to me. Woodstock's Airmail huh? I would've scrapped Frog Hopper, so a clever idea on their part.
Finally, I feared that the video was going to be like Disney Channel or Nickelodeon where the kids would be too excited over something that's not exciting. They're all good additions for next year, but nothing exciting. I was surprised how well done the video was, they stated facts, acted like a normal family "Who's gonna ride first?" "Me because I'm the dad!" plus it made the fans feel cool about the changes instead of going what the heck. Remember the build up with Kings Dominion last year? As interesting as Planet Snoopy was, it was very uncalled for building up thrill riders' and fans' excitement then ticking them off like that.
Being the father of a 1 1/2 year old now I get excited about rides like these just as much, as it is just more to introduce her to. I am interested to see what the height requirements will be for both, I know at Michigan's Adventure the Gliders are 36" and Kings Island Surf Dog is 44", so I wondered if they would be the same and didn't see anything on that yet. i also agree with the name change for Jr. Gemini and like the new name since they are changing where the entrance was. If the entrance would have been still out on the Gemini midway I would have rather had the name stay the same, but I like the move. Overall I think this is a great addition. Also is there a new restaurant that will be right there. Or am I just forgetting about something when I look at the overview to the left side of the drawing?

I think some of you are underestimating how fun Pipe Scream will be. This is a great ride for everyone, not just kids, and will be right up there with MaXair as far as fun goes.
The entire area looks great and is a very meaningful improvement to the ambiance and feel of the park.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Here is a visual on how the Gemini midway will look from above next year.

The Hotel Breakers renovation is going to take us two "off-seasons" to complete. It's a massive project. You'll hear more details about it later, but...
This first phase is the exterior, but does not include the rotunda or park-side entrance.
Phase 2 will move to the interior rooms and spaces, as well as the rotunda and park-side entrance.
By May 2015, everything should be complete. Again, more details later.

I agree with you 100%. When i was at coaster con at KI in 07 i couldn't get enough of Avatar the air bender, its such a great ride and i often wonder why parks add the disco's when they could add these instead. I would love to see one at my home park!
I'm happy this area is getting an update. The new pipe ride looks really fun. I hope the excitement level is up with likes of maxair and skyhawk. The only disappointment was the renaming of the Jr. Gemini. I don't care what you call it, I'll still call it the Jr. Gemini.
P.S. @Tony, great job on the video. Using the family was a fantastic idea.
All of these improvements and additions are spot on. Bringing in Flyers and a Disk'o exactly meets the park's most sore need: true family rides that most of the family can not only ride together, but enjoy together. These will partly fill the void left by the removal of Wildcat, Disaster Transport, PWE, and Space Spiral.
I've always thought that the addition of Camp Snoopy made the location of Gemini's entrance a bit awkward. A number of times over the years, I've watched families struggling to find the entrance, so again, this is a smart move.
Renovation to Breakers has been desperately needed for years; I'm glad to see the investment finally coming about.
All in all, I'll give the 2014 capital improvements an A-. These are all very well thought out choices, all of them addressing the park's most critical needs.
And Tony, I'll just echo the vast majority of posters and tell you that you did a fine job with the production of the video. Was picking a real family to make the announcement your brainchild? It was a good call, and a neat idea.
