The problem with Michigan's Adventureis, who is going to go? Sure, there are a few people in Grand Rapidsbut most of Michigan's population is closer to Cedar Point.

Grand Rapids' metro population is in excess of 1 million people, and there are a lot of smaller cities close by. True, MA doesn't have the market that CP does, but they also don't have (nor do they need) over 60 rides, and the financial burden that comes with that.

Wow. Can you underestimate MA anymore. That park is awesome. It is a wonderful family park. That's how my kids got use to going to amusement parks without being overwhelmed. I live in Lansing and will often throw the kids in the car when I get out of work at 10 or11 in the morning. Not every park in the world has to be an enormous super mega park. I would like to see the addition of a few coasters down the road, but not at the sake of wreaking it's charm. So if you don't like it don't go.

When I went to MIA last summer, when I crossed the border and I told the border guard I was going to Michigan's Adventure she said "That place is still open?" I must say I do hear quite a bit of advertising for that park on the radio. It's a great small park with a nice water park. I'll go back this summer.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

I was just sitting here thinking. If they had muved x-flight from geauga lake to mia, it would be an awesome ride over the center lake. That would bring in some people without taking the charm away.

X-Flight has a much more appropriate home in Kings Island.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict that MiA won't get another roller coaster for a minimum of five years.

I agree that not every park has to be a Cedarpoint! I enjoy many of the smaller park, but if they want some of the smaller parks to survive, they nee to grow with the times!

Lets just hope Cedar Fair continues to operate mia correctly. Id hate to see another great small park like Geauga Lake go down. I really enjoy mia. I love the atmosphere there its almost like Geauga Lake was before six flags came in and distoryed it. But i do hope that put in a couple new coasters in the future or atleast a few more thrill rides.

I wouldn't say 5 years, but I could see it being at least 3.

I would say only if they show the boost in numbers that Thunderhawk should justify.
