Cedar fair to buy led zeppelin coaster?

Nope, not a fun park now.

Then don't go. You won't be missed.

^^I couldn't agree less with that statement. When I went to Michigan's Adventure this summer with a few friends I had a more enjoyable time there than any visit to Cedar Point (or another park) since opening day of 2005. There's a charm to the place that the other parks I've visited just don't have (KI, CP, IOA). A small park can be just as fun as a mega park like Cedar Point if you're not in it just for the rides.

With that said, I do agree that a ride like Zeppelin would be too much for MiA. Slow and steady wins the race if you're building a park. I think that's a problem with Cedar Point; the rapid explosion during the "coaster war" years was too much in to little time. I think the coaster could find a good home at other parks in the chain, however. They could keep the basics of the theming even (minus Led Zeppelin), like the station building and fit it in at Worlds of Fun as a Hindenburg-based attraction.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

I'm not going back to that park. I went 2 years ago and we left by 3.We left there being so thankful that we had geauga lake. I wouldn't want you to miss me Mr. angy pants.

How about Zeppelin going to carrowinds? I know they are getting a "new" coaster this year but could use another.

WoF already has Patriot, so it wouldn't make much sense to install it there.

ADDED:
And Carowinds already has Afterburn.

Why does every park have to be like Cedar Point? Michigan's Adventure does what it does very well. It is a waterpark that also has an amusement side. Most of the people that go there are going for the waterpark and to hit a couple rides, not the other way around.

Cedar Fair seems to know how to build up parks without blowing their load in 1 year.

Most people I know are going to Michigans adventure for the rides. And maybee hit the waterpark if it gets hot enough.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

That's not been my experience when going there, where the water park will be packed, but their rides are 1 or 2 train waits.

Welcome to PointBuzz. I strongly suggest looking around at all of the dead horses.

Is that why Timbers is a walk-on most of the day in the middle of July? The numbers would suggest something different.

Theres always Valleyfair in Minnesota for a coaster like Zeppelin if Cedar Fair ever bought it. Just after looking at their website they dont have any coasters like it there.

I wasn't beating that poor horse. I didn't even bring up the geauga lake referance. I was explaining the difference between gl and mia.

No, going on and on about Kinzel killed it and wanted it dead (the most silly thing I can think of) is most certainly beating a dead horse. Just don't go there.

Actualy, when I was at the park this summer timbers had a 20 min wait in the middle of the day. Thunderhawk had a half hour wait. This was in july and aug.

And the water slides had 45 minute to 1 hour waits.

mia just felt cramped to me. The parking was horrible, but I do think they have the room to expand.

mia will most likely expand in the future. They have alot of land and a good operation i try to visit (like kings island, and Geauga Lake when it was open) at least once or twice a year. I enjoy mia. sooner or later they will get bigger and better....

I don't think they need to get bigger. They don't attract a large enough crowd to merit being bigger.

I can see them developing the area in the back, to create a midway that completes the circle.

The problem with Michigan's Adventure is, who is going to go? Sure, there are a few people in Grand Rapids but most of Michigan's population is closer to Cedar Point.
